At one point, Danny was living life very fast and unpredictably. That’s why it makes me happy to see him at age 40, happy, healthy, making music, streaming and running Bruiser Brigade. He’s an elder statesman and I feel like we don’t have to worry about seeing the crash and burn that comes with rockstars. He made it. 💐

Been a Danny Brown fan since the Hybrid (my man N8 tha Gr8 put me on... shout out to the CUF). This man is a TRUE artist and a hip hop treasure. One thing that always really stuck out to me... you can tell Danny REALLY cares about people, for real. Even when he was selling drugs he understood how he was hurting his customers and wasn't okay with it. ("Looking like the world fell on her/and i pushed it"). Heart is literally bleeding through his music. He does songs about the most unglamorous but real shit ever, like "scrap or die." Pretty much any song where he's using his subdued voice is going to be an emotional journey.
