Hello Steve Erwin, I was at the Hall of Mirrors concert in Glen Echo Park. I think that Danny Gatton was listed on the venue in The Washington Post as "suprise guest." I remember sitting on the first row and wanting Danny's autograph. I finally asked and he said that he had one condition: he wanted to touch my braids. He said that they (my braids) were as neat as a pin. I still have his autograph on the concert flyer. I miss that man! Z

Zenaida Odom What an amazing story! I never saw him, but he played once near my city. I didn't find out till maybe 15 years later. The videos, etc. are great, but I miss him as well. You are truly blessed by the memory.

+Zenaida Odom - Hi Zenaida! Just wanted to let you know there will be a concert April 9 at the Strathmore AMP. It is in conjunction with the documentary, "Anacostia Delta" that is being made about Danny Gatton. The concert gathers up a lot of the musicians that worked with Danny over the years. I will be playing that night with 4 brilliant musicians, John Previti on bass, Robbie Macgruder on drums, Dave Chappell on guitar and Tommy Lepson on the Hammond B-3 organ! It should be a fantastic!!

Hi WG, This is at Solomon's Inn. The video says 1993 but it is incorrect. It was in February of 1994 a week after Danny played with me at my Hall of Mirrors concert in Glen Echo Park. You can find my recording with Danny, John Previti and Harold Howland at iTunes, Amazon, etc. It is called, " Was It Like This" and was recorded in late '88 to early '89. Thanks for posting! I do not have the tape so I can't help you out on sequence except to say that I performed with Danny's band at the beginning of the concert and did 2 or 3 songs. - Steve Erwin

Hi, Steve, You're more than welcome. Danny was wonderful, his music satisfies like no other, and you were blessed to play with him. Also, thanks for the corrections and leads for "Was It Like This".
