Target drops pokemon cards bi-weekly between 8-8:30 am est on fridays and every once in awhile on tuesdays. Last week they dropped 28,000+ shining fates etbs with no quantity limit, the only catch is they will cancel any order past 1 order. I was able to grab 5 shining fates etbs at retail and the stock actually was available for 45 mins
@TheBerkAlaraShow3 жыл бұрын
Given how popular Pokemon is right now, We suspect that Walmart and Meijer will take up the slack where Target is not going to be able to. There are most likely provisions in the contract when the retailer is no longer able to sell collector cards including contracts with the retailer to stock a certain amount of product, so we doubt any of these distributers will have any issues. There is still the option for online sales for local inventory, but it is much harder to limit the supply from online sales. It is a shame that Target took such a blanket approach to Pokemon sales instead of just limiting supply in those stores that caused trouble. We are certain that if the local Target worked with local law enforcement then they could have a window of time where police were present in front of the store while Pokemon was being sold would have made it a safer place to buy.

2 things, Even if this was true about the contracts, Target is breaking their end so why couldn't the distibutors... also if they couldnt sell it would just mean other distributors would get larger allocations. its not going to Excel or MJ Holdings and sitting there doing nothing. TPC is going to move it thru other distributors. So I do think in a few months small stores and other retailers will start selling.
@pokecollect323 жыл бұрын
With target breaking there end of the contract then target will have to pay a big fine for them breaching contract. Then it's up to the distribution center to allocate said items elsewhere. Target is going to be eating a nasty amount money they just set on fire basically. Don't think target will keep that standpoint very long as it's going to hurt pretty bad on there end.

Exchanges and Gamestops on military bases are some of the best places to find product right now! Most scalpers cant just go there, and they dont have limits. At my local PX I showed up on restock day and they had around 10 collector boxes, full stock of blisters, and whole box of v battle decks. I picked up a Dubwool V collecter box and Gardevior V Battle Deck. Couple weeks ago they had 10 etbs. They don't last more than a couple days, but if you can time it right...you can find product.

So basically, by contract they are sent to certain stores anytime and if cant sell at a store they gotta find way to sell at other places anytime. kinda like hot wheels and guess they are sent to stores anytime and some stores get a lot shipers or boxes to make space for new stock any so u see video of collectors see so many shippers at once in a bin or out to sell any. so they are gonna have to find way to sell the cards to any place if target and walmart stop selling them for any reason. so places u dont expect to find will get the stock ment for certain places but redirect to sell at any store they can anytime. so i can see collectors, resellers and scalpers try check any place now for cards just to get a fix any.

I feel like there's no way Pokemon or this company will have something in the contract that forces them to keep buying product even though a store chain refused to sell it. I'm betting on that they are still giving it to Target but they're probably selling it online. I don't think Pokemon would be that evil to force them to keep buying stuff if they can't sell it at the stores that they want to. There's probably some kind of contract adjustment for this type of situation it probably goes to Amazon or other places. But it would be nice if they put the hunt back in it and try to distribute it to a lot of random locations to make it more fun again for people to hunt. The only issue with that is that once people know that they have it they're going to keep expecting it to come back. But it would definitely be cool to see dollar stores, Walgreens and more CVS's stocking a bunch of product. Not just little tiny they put out..
@simplyrem7793 жыл бұрын
So my understanding: unless mj holdings (walmart, and other big box stores) increases the amount of product they order from pokemon, then supply will go down because target is not selling anymore (no point ordering more because a big seller is gone).

To me the distributors will allocate more to the retail players still. The question they’ll have to figure out is how do they do it without turning it into another target situation. If target has contracts with them they have to fulfill or it could turn into lawsuits. Idk just speculation but some stores that could take the target allocations would increase volume and sales and potentially other areas of sale would increase too. Let’s go get some Pokémon or sports cards and by the way since we are here let’s get a few other things. Very interesting to see what evolves from this. Honestly I feel like target gets the best items in hands down between sports and Pokémon products. I’m a Pokémon collector and I’ve noticed I can get better things there in my area at least.

MJ Holdings definitely can sell to other entities other than big box stores and Target. Years ago MJ Holdings and Rudy from Alpha Investments made a million dollar deal for the rest of the entire stock of Force of Will product that MJ Holdings had and then Rudy sold it to his patrons as a FOW bundle. Sure, the contract specifically for Pokemon could be different but I am under the impression that Target and big box stores get precedent or have access to as much product as needed. It also could be time gated like Target and big boxes stores get all access for the first 6 month and then they can do whatever whatever need to unload. If there are leftovers, then they can sell the product however method they can and usually the repackaged second hand sealed products that are at big box stores is the method they go since the price during normal ish times is the highest and probably has the best returns.

My #1 question has been this... If MJH/Excell are under contract with Walmart/Target and aren't allowed to sell to other stores such as brick and mortar... and I can only speak to MJ Holding here... Isn't MJ Holding in breach of their contract every time an employee backdoors the products they are supposed to stock? This has been happening with sports cards on the East Coast to the point it's an epidemic. I think less than 50% of Basketball/football card products intended for Walmart shelves makes it there, and that's being very generous. At multiple Walmarts in my area, it's 0% now.
