At the world pokemon championship, a huge move update was announced. This includes nerfing super strong moves like wing attack, counter, and steel wing. It also reduces the switch clock from 60 to 50 seconds.
This week is great league and galar cup. Galar cup is only pokemon in the sword and shield pokedex.
Taking a look at a strong great league team featuring serperior, clodsire, and feraligatr

Agree with the title but not a fan of the moveset I have been playing Serperior since day 1 this season, it is extremely underrated. I use it with Dunsparce and STONE EDGE Clodsire. I dont know about others, but i see at least 2-3 ice per set and you need to cover the double weakness. I am a bad player and dont even count but am 2370 just because of how strong the team is. Talonflame and Mandibuzz are also very bad leads.

Serperior is another one of those top 5ish of mons I really, really wish I had.

If you want to prevent the double ice weakness, I recommend this team with Ferrothorn instead of Serperior. Ran this team to pretty good success at the 2500 range

The Serperior, Clodsire core is incredibly strong. The third almost doesn't even matter

I didn't realize. I only have a regular feraligatr right now though.

@@Mike-sp7zv you can use both versions of Feraligatr, Dunsparce, Dewgong, Sableye Talonflame,...again the third is mostly coverage. Serp and Clod can handle most things by themselves.

Id say the third kind of does, given you are doublr weak to ice

@@menandroplan1554 not really. What're the major ice types? Dewgong, abomasnow, Ninetales? Stone edge, Frenzy Plant, and Ariel Ace really do a lot. Even Poison Sting can do some damage against Ninetales and Aboma. That's why it's such a strong core.

Agree with the title. It's way better than it's ranked and better than Jumpluff or any other grass type except for maybe ferrothorn.

I saw so much azu that I had to switch from stone edge to sludge bomb couple that with the superior pacing sb is the way to go on clodsire not seeing too much flying to warrant having stone edge over sludge bomb imo

i actually play galar cup. imho it has enough variety, and it's nice to not see the omnipresent feraligatr.

Leaf tornado and frenzy plant can surprise a lot of lead matchups and make it awkward with a debuff. Talon is tough.
