The first ABB line that really blew up and became iconic was the Skarmory double Grass line from Caleb Peng. The entire team loses to a Fire type but there was literally 0 fire types being used in Season 1 aside from the random Charizard and a few Fire Fang Mawile so it had very consistent results.

I thought it was Caleb and yeah skarmory makes more sense since it was so common earlier. There still aren't a ton of fires but now pelipper and others can deal with it.

Man for some reason I wanted to try obstagoon gengar and tentacruel back in the Halloween cup. That became my team for open league and ultra league as well. My obstagoon was expert winning games at the beginning with hyperbeam. Both leagues. I climbed 900! Points in Halloween cup with that team. Will always be my most memorable team.

I feel that overall in high ranks (pretty much anything at close to ~2500 and upwards) ABB teams are too well known and you depend way too much on lead RPS. Doesn't really help that much that everyone is running all these great safe swaps that deal well with everything, funnily enough the content of the previous video in the series. I play a shadow Abomasnow + Double Water (Jelli,Azu) at ~3100 and I'm pretty much guaranteed a loss if I don't win the lead hard.

I use the double steel team often. Although I prefer roserade instead of venusaur because weather ball hits hard and spammy as well. It beats all the counters to the steel tanks and can even beat medicham.

An aside from a person watching this 6 months later... It seems as if each loss you experienced was followed by you saying, "Oh, I messed up! If only--XYZ." That seems like the sort of team that could hardcore beat folks when you get more used to it IMHO.
