Best tutorial honestly, so easy to follow and you bring up some typical exam commands that takes Cisco two and half page to explain

I have been an engaged TAFE IT student of CertIV virtual learning during this Covid-19 and 1 term finished, didn't understand anything of the CLI for routers/switches (although I am so far a fan of Linux CLI, working on the permissions now). I've seen the teachers using these basic commands several times during lab class, but sorry to say that the teacher started solving a lab (more specifically started telneting straightway) using the commands on the comment-box on the packet tracer without getting us familiar with the commands or the terminal. After watching ur video, it's all clear now and now all I need is practice. You just helped another keen to IT student. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for clarifying VLAN and how there's no port--therefore can use any Ethernet port. Going through this really helped.

Sir Dan, your videos are brilliant, and I have NO doubt on handling the Packet Tracer activities, which I was wondering over for some time now. I have a small, though silly doubt. In the examinations, yes, the Config and GUI tabs are locked. Are we free to connect the console to any PC under the router/switch, or to some particular PC only? If the latter is the case, how do we identify which one? Just curious...

doing PT 7.6.1 in explorer 3 and no shut wont bring vlan up. i am in CLI tab of switch, which i assume operates as a console in. do i need to define a switchport access?

They are excellent tutorials, but I wonder if you can send me all files in paket tracer used in the 4 modules, to do what you do, I'd appreciate it a lot.

just one question, how is it possible to assign IP address to switch interface? IF I am right, switch is a layer 2 device and ip address works for devices working at layer 3 right?
