Oh man, what would we casual gamers be without you pros... We would have sh... FFB and no decent overlays etc. No idea about such apps, but they enhance the game incredibly! Not just the radar, but many other widgets as well. This could make rF2 fun again... :-) Again, thanks, Dan!

Thank you Dan, what LMU needs apart from this is a penalty system. Since the game was released I haven't had a single online race where I am not hit from behind or side. It's like players are so eager to win that they don't care how they drive. How are you supposed to gain SR or improve DR if curenntly it's a wreckfest in LMU.

another other feasible option for the radar is racelab, if you own it... it works as it supports rF2

I can’t seem to get it working in full screen mode, really unfortunate as in borderless mode I get 20-30 less fps .

There is a built in radar in the game now - I’d highly recommend to use that instead :)

Hi Dan, bei mir verschwindet das Radar immer quasi hinterm Game. Sobald ich auf Tinypedal klicke ist das Radar wieder visible, aber ich bin sozusagen nicht mehr im aktiven Fenster (Game) und kann das Spiel beispielswiese nicht mehr per escape pausieren. Was hab ich falsch gemacht?

Depending on how much ram you have that could be the culprit tbh sometimes these types of programs like to snack on the ram a little too much so try remember closing any unused programs while racing 👍

Hugely helpful as always DS. However, this is exactly what this game shouldn’t be. The casual and mass market user wants a game to use OOTB…if we have to fiddle and faff with files in the backend it won’t succeed. We don’t want another rF2. This will put so many off, including me.

Yep same here. Full screen with all ultra in race my system is smooth as butter, with windows or borderless its jittery and not very usable. Maybe this radar can work full screen, i don't know.

boa...what a hell shitshow this is...thanks for the video...really guys, 2024...what should I do to drive this "sim" with fun? Crashes, switch between on and off, rubberbanding AI, a horribly rating system, a horribly online-mode...2024, old engine, same mistakes...I can´t understand how they got a great ranking on steam. I tryed it with the EA-release, bad feelings, bad races...I tryed it again yesterday, the same bad feelings! I have more than 6k hours in racingsims today, but this is one of the greates joke! It is not because everythink is bad, but it is just r_factor2, hold on..with a slap on a coat of paint!

It's kinda crazy how much DIY we have to use to make the game playable. (Because no spotter and no radar, especially for online races, are a no-no). A bit off putting really.

Absolutely agree - I think on triples you don’t need a radar if you have the situational awareness. Now unfortunately not everyone has the space or can afford a triple setup and I don’t think those people should just have the disadvantage then, simracing is a sport for everyone :)

No irl race car driver has ever been limited to a 30" box fixed directly in front of them defining their forward view and only being able to check their mirrors by turning their heads 90 degrees left or right. A sim racer with a single monitor and realistic FOV can't even see their rearview mirror, let alone their sideview mirrors. And using the "look left" and "look right" buttons takes your eyes 100% off everything in front of you. Real racers didn't need radar or a spotter because they had glanceable mirrors, shadows, full 360-degree surround sound, and everything else from real life that makes up their "surroundings".
