Please help me out here. I was sold on the quality of the video vs the price so I ordered one from Banggood. I see the xtc60 connector, but what do I connect it to? Is there some type of ready made rechargeable battery that I can connect this thin to?
@TweetFPV4 жыл бұрын
this is designed to connect to a 2-4 cell battery. Typically these batteries with xt60 connectors are meant to charge from a hobby grade charger. you can use a 18605 patery pack like this one www.banggood.com/custlink/vKKYCRrsMn and an adapter like this one www.banggood.com/custlink/mDDDwtSRfI or you can use a hobby grade LIPO like this one www.banggood.com/custlink/vDvEJdWskj and a cheap charger like this one www.banggood.com/custlink/G3KKfPSEf5

I typically use a 7" screen for letting others see the FPV feed. It also works really well for spotting folks at races.

@@TweetFPV I do too, I ended up trying out some 2s batteries, and light 3s. Made very short pigtail* with xt30, vecro'd to top of screen/goggles. Eachines I could tell they were there, but got used to it, the others I hardly noticed a difference in weight. Here are results.... ZOP 2s 1000mah - 46.3g appx. 40m run time. $12 Kinexsis - 2s 1200mah 67.5g appx. 45min run time $12 Turnigy 2s 1000mah - 62.8g appx. 45m run time $10.50 Jumper T16 2s 2000mah - 62.9g appx 1hr 5m run time $12 Tattu 3s 650mah - 53.0g - appx 1hr run time $11(on sale) Turnigy 3s 700mah - 68.9 - appx 1hr run time $16 **Eachine - 2s 2200mah 93.6g - appx 1hr 35min run time $10.50 **Eachine pack is 2 wrapped 18650s with matching barrel plug, so no pigtail/adapter needed, fits right into monitor power in. *Also found this if you don't want to make your own pigtail - $7 www.ebay.com/itm/RJXHOBBY-XT30-Male-Plug-DC-5-5mm-2-5mm-20mm-Male-Lipo-Battery-Adapter-for-FPV-Fa/392514591047?hash=item5b63b15947:g:nv0AAOSwzhpdvc9

Glad I caught this. I’ve had issues with traditional goggles. I needs my spectacles to fly straight so this is a great solution and reasonably priced. Thanks for the review.

Yea they are really good with glasses. I think there is an updated version of them now.

Might be nice for setting up quads on the bench like you said lol. I still need to learn how to use the OSD settings in the goggles. Think I'd want a more immersive, fully-sealed box goggle though for ride-along.
@sunshynff5 жыл бұрын
I had seen so many reviews that confirm this, looks jenky, they don't expect much and they are amazed how well they look, so I got me some for ride along purpose. Liked them so much, I often use them when flying solo, even though peripheral view throws you off at first, you get used to it, it's nice if I'm by myself, especially at a unfamiliar/new location, to have some sort of awareness of my surroundings. Still use the FS for serious flying though.
@TweetFPV5 жыл бұрын
Yea, I was very surprised how good they were but it was a little odd at first having peripheral vision.

@@TweetFPV It didn't bother too much, but I was lucky, over summer I bought used (only flown twice) DJI S1000 Octocopter for my business. The guy needed to sell it bad and threw in TONS of accessories. One of them were those Zeiss Cinemizer OLED glasses, not sure if u heard of them, if not google them, their kinda cool. They came out way back in 2011/12, and were very much ahead of their time. They were more designed for film production, or playing games/watching movies, but still hold up today as a ride along goggle, and are perfect for DJI set ups, being that they're not much bigger than a pair of sunglasses, and you have decent peripheral view. I mean it's OLED, so it's nice and clear, and it has focus adjustment for each eye, HDMI in and out, AV in, and other features, but it's not subversive at all by today's standards, still it was 2011..lol. Oh yeah, and they cost almost $800. Anyway, I digress, I have a ground station and have used them to fly a few times, so when I got these goggles, the peripheral view thing didn't throw me off like it did the firsts time I used the cinemizers.

Since this video was posted Banggood have more info on the product page. Voltage input is 2S - 6S and for another $20 you can get one with a DVR. I love mine and yes I do wear glasses for astigmatism which no focal adjustment on goggles will correct. Big thumbs-up for this product.

they should just sell the monitor ,Circular polarized antenna, with an added patch antenna and maybe the sunscreen along with added tripod and or controller mount and this product would seem alot more appealing in my eyes. Right now it just looks half done. It seems they put time and effort in making the monitor but when you take a product designed for another reason just to get it on the market alarm bells start going off to the quality of the product and customer care in my opinion

Hello, does anybody know an external dvr compatible with these goggles?
@brianmi405 жыл бұрын
Seems to me like an easy mod for mounting clearance lets you replace the screen with a Eachine D-moni5 5.8Ghz and that solves your DVR gap, and lets you use the freed up Hawkeye screen for passersby... all for $30

He did say that the head peice was originally made to use with your phone as a VR headset and that you can still use it for that so I wouldn't say that it has nothing to do with VR

You can still buy the original VR headset that this was developed from. It's called the Visor X.
