That's what seeking power is all about. When you have the desire to achieve something or accomplishing a great mission, you seek all the power to make it possible. Of course, it can mean good or bad. But, for those who are noble like Dante, they only need or use them when they deemed it's necessary to use them when all options are exhausted.

It's too cute. Did you miss the manga on DMC called "Visions of V"? I advise you to get acquainted. When V turns to Dante with a request to kill a powerful demon that has suddenly rebelled.. V's voice became quiet, but it was clear from his lips that he had finally told him that Vergil had returned. This moment is present in the manga, so to speak, in a more extended scene, but when Dante heard that Vergil had returned.. He suddenly turned into the Devil Trigger. He felt very negative emotions about the return of Vergil.

When vergil stabbed him he unlocked his demon side but to be a %100 demon, he must do it with his own will

Dante didn’t have sparda at the time. How did not realize that? Dante never got impaled while he had sparda in hand or in its true form with rebellion.
