This is my all time favourite games to revist and bust off some steam. Really great game with awesome combos, story and gameplay. I also have a playthrough of the entire game with combos just as stylish as these in the Hardest Difficulty (Infernal).

Indeed, the story is really good and so is the combat. A remake on PS5 with improved visuals can really enhance the experience of the game. I really loved playing this game both Combat and Story Wise.

Why is the Cross So Fucking GOOD, man i remember playing this game and emulation was giving me an issue, i still love this title however. btw you should really show off its "real" combat next time buddy >.>

Yeah man the Cross attacks are really good. For me the emulation worked like a charm for this game and didn't have any lag whatsoever. Also as for the Combat I tried, I would love to see your take and some combo Mads for this game. The combo mad community for this game is not all that active like other games. So all the combos and setups was purely something I discovered and came up with without any youtube reference.

Damn. I wish this game was available on modern systems. I loved playing it so much back in the PS3 days. Such a fun game, it deserves a modern port & also to become a trilogy IMO. I'd love to see games for purgatorio and paradiso... Anyway nice gameplay!

I played the shit out of this game in my emulator. Fortunately the emulation was stable and this game ran smoothly. But this deserves a port as well as a continuation. But probably never happen considering it's EA game

@@ComboSpartan And great level design and story. It's literally The Divine Comedy made into a game. Which is why all the writers gave it such low scores. Because they didn't like a classic like that being turned into a hack-n-slash game. I say, if it's fun, who cares? And it's plenty of fun. To this day.

@@darthollpheist1156 Indeed, and I do think the story was remarkably great. I really loved that it had some takeaways from the story as well. Like Dante and Beatrice Brother, went on a crusade to kill non believers because they thought that they were doing god's justice. Yet blinded by hatred, and miseld by priests they thought they were on the right path. yet they were far from it and got punished for killing innocent people of different faith. I also liked how they tackled different sins and liked how well the it meshed well into gameplay and story sequencing of the game.

@@ComboSpartan For real. Each level of Hell, you knew it before anything was said. Like Lust having the chick with demon babies coming out of her nips.... or Gluttony with the giant mouth thing. That stuff is great. And yeah, I liked how they tackled the whole religion thing with finesse. They didn't bash either religion, and they made sure to stick to the point of that not being "Hell".... but HIS Hell. Great story and tight game-play. The critics hated that they used The Divine Comedy and that they used religion. They made fun of it and called it a God of War rip off. Which, it sort of is.... but not really. I think it stands alone as one of the best games ever made. It's in my top 10.

@@darthollpheist1156 Word Brother, I absolutely agree. I also liked Asura's Wrath it took obvious inspiration from Hinduism just to avoid misrepresnting the religion yet at the same time craft a beautiful Story Inspired by it. I only wished the combat system was more fleshed out. It was pure story and QTE (which was awesome) but it would have been a blast to have a fleshed out Hand to Hand Combat. There are very few games of that genre these day (Except SIFU and God hand which are great Stylish Beat em ups).

I obviously know your playing infernal diff with resseruction mode powers which makes the game way too easy thats why your mana is able to regenerate fast and weapons do 20 times more damage try doing this on infernal diff with no resseruction mode all those stylish attacks u did

@@calvinburgos8236 The point of these vids or for the matter most videos on my channel is never me flexing me being navigating the game with as much restrictions in the highest difficulty. I try to focus on freedom and styling. I understand that being able to regenerate mana faster does make it easier however having all the upgrades and more mana at your disposal makes for flashier encounter which is the goal of my vids. My Ragnarok runs are like that as well I try to keep my damage output at a level where I am not one shotting enemies or grind at the enemies health forever. I look for a balance where enemies have enough health for good combos while also being able to stagger and overpower them.

I hate that the R2 mechanic reset your combo counter.

Word brother! You have no idea how much that annoys me. I think hack and slash games with hit counter shouldn't reset the counter on any attacks. I like how in God of War the grab execution continues the combo counter. The only place it didn't was the gorgons in Ascension which annoyed me a lot.

That means a lot glad you enjoyed it, I try and use move variety to showcase everything in the arsenal while making sure they flow into beautiful Combo. And I intentionally use a lot of Cross Moves and White Armor to enhance the "Angelic" effect of the combat.

how possible do you think a no upgrade run is

Restrictive runs such as No upgrade runs or lv1 run doesn't interest me at all so I am not the right person to be able to give my opinion on it. However I do think it's fairly possible. The only hiccup I see is the last fight with Satan. As he has lots of attack that are kind of really tricky to avoid. Other than that the rest of the game should be manageable even in a no upgrade run.

@@ComboSpartan yeah i can tell you're more into combo's and stuff which is very cool too was just asking because i couldnt find any other people who play this other than LPers and speedrunners lol. but i think im gonna give lvl1 run a shot. would love to do no upgrades but the game feels so much worse without that 4x heavy combo with the jump at the end

Step1: Well First you need a RPCS3 Emulator and Set it up. There are plenty of guides for that. Step 2: Then you need to download the PS3 rom for the game, which can be found on Vimm's Liar: vimm.net/vault/PS3 Step 3: Once you have downloaded the setup then plug in your ROM, and enjoy your game.
