Natural antibiotics can be found in the garden and in the kitchen. I am talking about common culinary herbs such as Thyme, Sage and Rosemary, often found in kitchen gardens. I am also talking about Garlic, Lemon and Ginger as well as honey and apple cider vinegar. You can take care of your health easily and effortlessly using these natural antibiotics.

When I was a child I became severely sick! I lived in Northern region of The USA. 1978 or 77 Blizzard! Mom was snowed in! My dad couldn't get an ambulance! My temperature was over 104 degrees. My dad covered me with a towel and put me in a cool bath. Brought my temp down a little. He could not take me to the hospital. Nothing was working ! He made a Hot Toddy! Tea, lemon, honey, and whiskey! He slept on the floor beside my bed! I stirred he did it again! My bed was soaked, so he moved me to the spare room.changed the sheets, etc. My fever broke! He fed me and turned his head as he bathed me in cool water. My fever broke and chicken noodle soup. People chastised him for giving me whiskey! I am so glad he did! Because I am alive to tell this story! None of the over the counter meds worked! This is why I follow you! Love your channel!

Whiskey is Uisce Beatha in Irish and means water of life. Strange as it may seem, it can be very very therapeutic. My dad gave it to me in boiled milk - worked a treat. xx

You are alive today because of a wise father. And you sound about my age, I remember those two blizzards. They were why FEMA was formed, because of the situation in Buffalo. I'm in NY state (far, far, from NYC!) I love this channel, too. I finally have time to devote to learning more about herbs. Calendula, Lemon Balm, Mint, are all drying as I write this. :)

When I was a child back in the forties, my mother gave us hot lemonade sweetened with honey every time we even acted like we were catching a cold and we rarely got sick. She was a nurse. She also treated cuts and burns with aloe plant. At 83, I still do.

My Grandmother did BOTH of these as well with My Mother & Me🤗 What's passed on MUST NOT BE LOST!!! *I had an awful, oozing infected oven burn. I tried to treat it for days, but Not 1 of the multiple OTC ointments I had stopped the puss; it was NOT healing. Remembering My Elders & My Majestic ALOE in My Garden, I grabbed a CHUNK of pulp, placed it on a non~absorbent pad, & SEALED it against my skin with proper medical tape. I was in absolute awe the next day! My skin had absorbed ALL of the liquid from the Aloe. All that remained was a dried "film" of dried aloe pulp. It laid flush against my wound & rather sealed it, creating a bit of an artificial scab over the burn wound! I removed it, washed it & added an new CHUNK of Aloe pulp, sealing it with non~absorbent pad & tape again. The next day the burn wound was even better having assimilated the aloe into my own flesh again! Within TWO DAYS, a burn I thought was going to send me to urgent care was looking like no big deal ! ALOE IS AMAZING! 🤗Thank You Terri for Sharing Your Wisdoms with Us!!!💜🖤💫

Our local council has more or less trashed our town so my sister and I decided to 'take over' a flower bed. We weeded it and planted it up with herbs and pretty flowers. We painted the posts surrounding a small tree, laid compost, planted spring bulbs and decorated the tree, (including bird feeders and an insect house) We put a small bench there and get great pleasure seeing people having a rest on it on their way back from shopping. Thanks for the video, I incorporate all the things into my diet that you mentioned. Nature provides everything we need. ❤

Thank you for the 'like minded' interest in herbs as medicine. I live in independent area of a 5 stage senior living community and there is no one that has the same interests as me. You and a few other like minded people are my 'go to' friends to share our interests in nature. I am fortunate to have this community of 390+ acres of nature. I am so blessed to have this area to garden, forge and inhale nature. Thank you for being you. Namaste

In Estonia, we also use mustard powder foot baths and vodka-soaked socks for fever relief. 😄 It is also usual for children to have some of their naps outside in a warm pram in winters. It helps them get fresh air, good sleep, and, I guess, boosts their immune system in a way.

Often, we forget the great BOUNTY of medicine we have easily accessible to everyone all over the world. I am one who COMPLETELY ignores the propaganda that is spread through all media sources. Lemon Balm has become my favorite herb for making teas, so I'm growing a lot of it. I learned about it from you the other year, so THANKS for that. What about using Lemon Verbena or Lemon Grass? Will they work almost as well as regular lemons? Lemons are very expensive here and don't really taste fresh or sometimes, even good. It's like they've been treated. Hehe - now I have the song about Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme running through my head.

Hiya Terri. I use all those herbs you talk about. I make onion and garlic honey. I put herbs in ACV and honey etc. I'm currently in southern Spain. I found the bitter oranges and made a lovely bitter orange marmalade. During 2020 I boiled up orange, lemon and grapefruits and made hydrochloroquin, supposed to be great for you know what. Good morning Terri! I recently had a severe cold and while drinking clove tea for my stomach, I noticed it cleared mucus, stopped the coughing, sore throat and sinuses cleared. I read up in it and it is known for these things. Recipe I used: to boiling water add 1 tablespoon whole cloves and stick of cinnamon. Lower heat and simmer 10 to 15 minutes. (Use lid to not lose the oils) about the last two minutes add green tea. Add honey if desired. Then strain and drink/sip throughout the day. This is the right recipe. My first time I did 2 tbsp of cloves. That was way to strong so I just diluted it with water. You have opened a great big door for so many lovely people to join together. That is awesome. Have a lovely day. Today we are cooler, overcast and drizzly. Perfect for a good book and cup of hot tea. Best to you.

My mom always gave us cold baths for fevers; I had to do the same for my ward when he had ear infections. Also, olive oil in the ears with cotton for ear aches. Gargling warm salt water as hot as you can, helps bring up mucus and helps heal a sore throat. Also when your throat begins to itch or have the slightest tingle, eat a banana and another later. It will prevent most throat issues. My great niece came down with RSV as an infant and I put a tsp of amla juice in water in her bottle (indian gooseberry). It's important that they lay face down as it causes you to cough up an enormous amount of phlegm. It always gets me and nearly kicks my ----! She got better faster and healed quicker than other children that were in the hospital. When you are weak and trying to hike, take cucumber slices with apple cider vinegar and water, and ginger. It helps refresh your body and detox your body. I used Ashwaganda and Astragalus Tinctures during the Swine Flu. When it got really bad the second week, I added Eye Bright Tincture. We took it twice a day, every day during that whole 2 week period. When you survive that, you know that you have been somewhere! It got to a point that we could not move nor get out of bed. Luckily, I got sick first and my son was a day or so behind me. He helped me and I helped him. So thankful that we made it through that. I have also eaten green grapes for lower back pain. Love your videos! Working on my first Mullein experience. My first harvest has been a bit rough. But I was worried they were going to mow it down. My neighbor has gout and I planned for him to use it.

I find taking an oregano oil capsule on an empty stomach first thing in the morning at the beginning of a cold /upper respiratory problem amazing. Within a day or so completely gone. I do like preparing herbs in honey as Danu has shown here, together with teas wonderful during the winter. I use local honey from a bee keeper neighbour regularly all year round. Having allergies from a child, it’s lovely when I see lots of bees in my garden on my wildflowers and herbs, knowing my garden helps to sustain them, giving something back for the goodness they provide me.

Thank you _so much_ for this! I love being reinforced of the worth of my little herbs. And especially beautiful was mentioning Barbara's note. Yes we bring the metaphysical into the Earth every day & it *does* depend upon our focus. I love teaching Yoga & exchanging with my student-friends on the benefits of our herbs & other plants. BONUS information to all who may be interested: 1.) When I encounter a student or friend who has Covid/flu/cold/sore throat and they tend to be close talkers, I pull out my nose wick inhaler (not in front of them). I make the inhalers with Essential Oils; using those with antimicrobials, antivirals, antifungal, antibiotic properties. [Lemongrass, Clove, Thyme, Cinnamon, Vetiver, Lavender, Clary Sage; whatever you like.]. I will inhale every few hours to kill any potential pathogens. 2.) Two times (once, my husband had strep & the 2nd time I gained a sore throat from I do not know where) I used a 3 mixture remedy 2x a day: 1 Teaspoon powdered Cayenne, 3 smashed garlic cloves (let it rest for 20 minutes after smashing to release allicin), tablespoon raw honey; Mix it together, put into mouth, attempt to gargle for 30 seconds, then masticate for 30 seconds, then swallow. I staved off strep & the sore throat never progressed. It took 2 days. 3.) Nature has herbs. We are part of nature. Nature feeds its people. In my opinion, the wise people are those who realize we _are_ part of nature and that nature is the Mother to assist us. Much love to you. Thank you!

Such good advice for the coming months. For the past few years I've had a daily drink of hot water, lemon, ginger & honey mixed together, initially to ward off winter ailments, but it's now become pretty much an all year round thing because I've grown to love the taste of it. In 3 years I've only had one very mild cold which did not make me feel very ill or stop me getting on with my life & was over in 3 days.

I hope I can keep my rosemary and lavender alive over the winter, I've never had luck with those in the past. I already have thyme and oregano established in my rose garden. Herbs are wonderful in so many ways; I love growing them, smelling them, and using them-They are so beneficial! Thank you for wonderful informative video, and I look forward to seeing your gardens again next time ❤

Honey! What treasure! Honey has been found in Egyptian tombs! It is also a symbol of sweetness to come in other religious practices. I use the pollen from a local producer when my allergies kick up in early July - My reactions immediately calm down after a teaspoon- as if my body needs better information to help understand how to protect me. In exchange, I began growing and caring for flowers for the bees. Thank you for today's visit and splendid views! Now to try Thyme tea before the snow flies later this week in Quebec.!

I just brought in all my garlic, and a thyme plant and bought a rosemary plant the other day. I also have my own honey and have a lemon and lime tree growing in large pots in my home in New Hampshire USA. I grow ginger outside and dig it up in the fall to grow inside. I really like the look of ginger as a plant. I also brought in some sage for stuffing ( or dressing ). I will be making a cup of tea for my husband who isn't feeling well. Thank you for this video. I always learn something new when I watch your channel.

I like to slice and quarter half a lemon, steep in boiling hot water with 2 cloves finely minced garlic + as much cayenne pepper as I can stand. Steep for five minutes, separate solid from liquid, sniff deeply the solids on a plate for 3-5 minutes, then sweeten tea with honey and slowly sip. It's great!

Terri, this is a video I'm going to watch again and again, and share with other people. Too many winter ailments are on the rise, as well as a resurgence of Covid. Early intervention is the key! I've been taking a tablespoon of Fire Cider and a tablespoon of Sage Oxymel a couple of times a week, or when I suspect the beginning of a scratchy throat. Thank you both Terri and Lol. I wish you both a smooth transition through the winter months. Blessings from Canada.🍁

Whenever I have an upset tummy, I always mix Green tea and ginger tea from the root. After 1 or 2 cups I'm always right as rain. The Chinese believe that all tea is medicine. I suggested ginger tea to a friend who got food poisoning, it worked like a charm. When I was first diagnosed with HIV I read about how people with HIV drink lemon water hot or cold to bump up their immune system along with meds. When I feel slightly unwell I always go to natural remedies first, I don't particularly appreciate having too many chemicals in my body.
