Have you been to Iguazu? I mean... IguaÇu? Iguassu? Ok here's a question... WHY ARE THERE SO MANY WAYS TO SPELL iguaSSSuZucu? 🤔😆 🇧🇷🇦🇷
@ezequielgervasio4 жыл бұрын
"Iguaçu" in portuguese is pronounced as "iguassu" because the "Ç" word has the same sound as the "SS" sound. My English is not good enough, but I hope you understand my comment :)

you were wrong in the video. The z in spanish sounds like s. They have the exact same sound. The word is pronounced exactly the same in spanish and portuguese. The only difference is the spelling.
@argonaut_a24654 жыл бұрын
It’s “iguaSSu”, from the pronunciation of the people that actually named it (indigenous? My english is thrash). Argentina pronunciation is cause they don’t have/can’t pronounce the “ss” sound, so they have that “z” sound. It’s like how the Japanese don’t have the “L” sound/pronunciation and just say “R” in place.

Even thoug Brazil has 100000% more water than Argentina. Brazil is known as the big lake of the South Hemisphere. We also have 3 huge aquifers. Just one of this aquifers is 4 times the size of Texas state or 2 times the size of Argentina country, bellow the ground in Brazil. :) The largest river of the world is also here, the Amazon, it has 30% more water than the Nilo river, in Egypt. The amzon river collects all the water flooding from the melted ice in the Cordillera de los Andes (west of South Continental) and from more 50 small rivers of the south america and Brazil as well. Around 22% of the portable water of this Planet is in Brazil's rivers. Great video. Iguaçu it's amazing, indeed. Thanks

Can't believe I just missed meeting you guys by a weekend. You got the view of the dry season, really beautiful nonetheless but you got to see it when its at maximum flow. Just so you have an idea, they have to close that catwalk that goes over the falls to near the drop. They have to take out the bolted handrail because the water goes over the top and would drag them down. The shear power of the water makes you think about perspective. You gotta visit the bird's park while at Foz.
