Honestly though, I didn't see any concrete evidence of his crimes throughout the whole trial, just a swathe of allegations from years prior that are believable, but not real evidence. The whole thing really stunk from a justice standpoint. I didn't know we convicted on allegations. I think they were punishing scientology in that sentencing. Scientology is awful. The beyond a reasonable doubt standard applies to the state making a judgement of guilt which has legal implications up to causing someone slavery or death as punishment. The whole idea that every individual follows this standard is kind of silly. It's converse has implications too. The fact that we must wait for a legal judgement for people to agree to believe the victim when women making accusations are rarely faking it hurts them too. We should be concerned about a system that incentivizes people make up a fake story. But we can judge peoples motivations as well.

It boggles my mind because I'm not wired to be that way, I am who I am with everyone. But some people, Narcissists and Psychopaths in particular excel at the ability to wear different faces depending on the situation and how it benefits them or their goals. That's why so often with these kinds of people you get the reactions of disbelief and denial like "the person I know could never do such a thing!"

my ex got a restraining order against me by covering herself in bruises... and saying i physically attacked her multiple times. we share a daughter, and my daughter has lived with my full time for the last 8 years.. because my daughter was around, and she remembers how it went down, she resents her mother, and refuses to spend any real time with her, because she was also physically abusive with my daughter. these situations are always horrible for those involved. but esp bad for the children. i never hit my ex wife once, tho she bloodied my face multiple times, but i loved her and didnt feel that it needed to go further than our house... she did the whole song and dance with the alligator tears, and told her whole family that i was a wife beater, but she never once called the police on me... and that is simply because i never did anything other than defend myself by using hand control on her. CC could very well be an abuser, but why didnt she call the police when these events happened? if it was as bad as she is saying, there should be mountains of evidence to support it. why is she waiting until now? I want to believe her, but at the same time my own experience tells me there is much much more to this story than we are getting, and its coming out one sided. it could be a 2 way street, we just dont know what her motivation is nor his. Airing this stuff publicly, isnt about doing anything other than smearing his name, and it looks like shes accomplished that. i hope that she gets the peace of mind she is looking for and the satisfaction of destroying his career, because thats what shes doing. she isnt going to heal from her wounds from putting this all in public..

You are a very ignorant person. Also as someone who is the husband of a woman who has been abused and assaulted in her past, sometimes trauma can take years to really truly affect someone. She could have also been involved in therapy to try to heal from what she has endured behind the scenes. Neither you nor I have any idea what she has been dealing with all of this time. Just because your situation was different doesn't mean that applies here. And you yourself demonstrate the evidence with your daughter siding with the truly innocent party. Her son is standing by her, and against his father Chris. Or James. Or whatever tf that s*** human beings name is. Idgaf. Traumas take a long time to compartmentalize and deal with. Let's work that out, Chris allegedly attacked her, then he called the police on himself, then she never said anything about being attacked until she was being arrested for attacking him. You don't need to be the brightest bulb in the room to work out this chick is lying. Not saying Chris is some angel but I seem to remember Amber Turd being very convincing and making everyone think Johnny Depp was a monster until the truth came out, getting those same vibes here. As for the kid, kids are extremely malleable and Chris is off touring the world and travelling for half the year or more and that means the mom and her son are going to be closer obviously. Not even saying he's lying, but if she told him it happened he just believes her without knowing much of anything about what their relationship was really like. I'm going to continue supporting Chris unless I see some kind of evidence, because her own story doesn't make sense, attackers don't call the police on themselves and then get the person they attacked arrested.

Her story is that he choked her and beat her head into the ground to the point she nearly lost consciousness and feared for her life. The police show up, no matter WHO calls them, and they arrested HER for domestic abuse. I find it highly unlikely that the police would come in, see Chris who is a pretty big dude and especially compared to her, see his wife with her face red, large handprints across her neck and decide to arrest her because "hes a big famous pro skater and she isnt" (like some people keep saying) the truth is, she has no marks on her that line up with the story shes telling. Atleast nothing she has any proof of. Chris had cuts all over his face, she later posted pics of a few bruises on her leg. At very least theyd most likely have arrested BOTH of them. Idk either of them, if hes guilty then he deserves to face the consequences. But something isnt smelling right imo. Im starting to feel its far more likely that they had a toxic relationship and BOTH did things they shouldnt have. I know there are some people who do things like this, but idk, I find it hard to believe at this moment that she just was innocently was sitting there, minding her own business and he just hulked up, lost his mind and attacked her. Im not condoning ever hitting a woman, but the context DOES matter in how this whole thing is percieved.

It’s good back to when he was about 11. I was the one that got them sponsored at G spot because they only sponsored snowboarders at the time it was me John hogan and Jeremy Whelan.

My pops once told me a certain kind of woman will push a man’s buttons just to see how hard they can push them. Eventually a man with no buttons will create them. Human nature is flawed.

I don't think there's any real excuse to physically harm a woman, but OC is fairly true, I watched my dad date a legit evil alcoholic woman who spent every second of the day after getting drunk either sulking or cursing at my father either out loud or under her breath.. even constantly saying he wasn't a real man because he wouldn't hit her... This went on for 7 years with my dad never actually hitting her besides once when she hit him in head from behind with a frying pan to which my dad one punched her and laid her on the bed and covered her up.. she got up later and didnt know that either of them had hit eachother, just more accusations of infidelity and shit talk with no mention of the earlier occurances. And my dad was a good dude, worked 2 jobs for 13 years after my mom passed away to help us get by, he didnt deserve that shit and the stress that came with dating that psycho.

This situation is all too familiar both sides are gonna play the victim because neither want to lose custody of the kids. I grew up around this and while I can’t speak about specifics that I don’t know it’s very common for the children to take sides with the more nurturing parent normally the mom. The mom gives the kid what he like the dad is normally the more strict and so it’s easy for the kid to side with the mother because all he knows about mom is that she’s good to him while all he knows from dad is the discipline the mother doesn’t give him. I can’t for certain say this is the situation as I don’t know them on a personal level but this scenario is all too common in relationships anymore. I wish them both the best and I hope justice is served to whomever is at fault.

It can be very difficult to re-tell stories of abuse when you love(d) the abuser. -Victom of Domestic Abuse. [I've always loved ChrisCole aswell. Literally was.. one of my favorite skaters. :/ But the way she speaks on this topic really speaks volumes. Unless there's a giant hidden twist than this is just sad.]

So the cops show up to a domestic abuse call, believes the man for some reason, and arrests the woman who is covered in scratches and bruises. And she doesn’t claim she was choked until she’s on the way to jail…

Thanks for being sympathetic toward victims while still being fair and honest. I don’t like reading her body language to tell if she’s lying or not, body language assessment has been proven to be absolute bunk 100% of the time and I know you were trying to say she’s probably telling the truth but it’s not something you should do at all. Just FYI. I appreciate the work you do and the way you get these stories out. I had no idea about any of this because I don’t pay attention to the skating scene much anymore.

Im not taking any position here but i just have to correct you dude... women are AMAZING actors. All of them. They have emotional intelligence WAY beyond men. It is also very rare for abuse to be entirely one-sided. To pretend like one party is wrong and the other is totally innocent ignores the majority of cases. Just because you cant see emotional abuse, doesnt mean it doesn't happen. Ive known multiple girls who would gaslight and then physically attack their boyfriends until they defended themselves and then manipulate other men into fights or just play victim. Claiming to be afraid when you have police with you is stupid. But anyway, idk whos who in this one just saying...

Saying its rare for abuse to be entirely one side is an absolute insane and narcissistic thing to say. Your traits came through that comment clear as day. Am I saying women haven't lied? No not at all, women lie just as much men but the abuse thing is a different monster.
@Dirtypandasan2 ай бұрын
@@zaa-flips-it How anything he said was narcissistic (or insane for that matter)? I would like you to tell us what it was in his comment that was narcissistic. If the data from abuse cases proves that abuse in most abuse cases is entirely one sided then he was wrong and you could say that his comment was based on a lie and that it was unbased, uninformed, thoughtless or even malignant thing to say (but even so, not insane or narcissistic). It would be nice if people would use proper words in their proper meaning. Using words in a wrong way in a wrong context is diluting their true meaning and power.
