Watched your CCC updates all day! The runner tracking for the UTMB events are incredible. Way to make up ground on the field and go from 203 to 107! Beast mode!!! Looks like you had a great time and training paid off with that speed down the last peak. Just awesome to follow.

Thanks dan and thanks for following... pretty ground breaking coverage of all the races I had a great time lying in bed watching utmb in bed and then walking down to watch the top guys finish... quite surreal!

Succes with the race Dan! I was in Chamonix yesterday and thought I had seen you. I'm the guy at 2.08 in the black shirt taking a photo when the train passes by.

Another great video Dan. All the best for the race next week. Really helpful video regarding the gear you use as I'm doing my first 100km in two weeks (SCC Angelsea). Have been following your blogs over the last few months and they are full of great tips and thoughts. Have seen you on a few runs around here previously around the Valley lake (I'm most probably the only other bloke with a Ciele cap apart from you). Keep safe mate.

Another good video, thanks for sharing. I like the UTMB hooded top. Good glove choice, I have those too 👍 I also checked out the coffee shop you recommended and wow! great coffee, wish I'd found that place sooner. Can't believe I didn't bring my aeropress, rookie mistake! All the best for the race. Oh, and totally with you on the taper issues, not a great place to taper 😩

The last downhill felt so painful after +45km in my legs. I took it easy and didn't mind some runners passing me, but better arrive in one piece :)

Painful forsure suprisingly my quads held up and I was still able to get down somewhat efficiently!

thanks for the show and tell, some awesome kit. Can you get that Naked belt there in Cham? I'm doing the CCC as well and that is the best solution for poles I've seen.

Being a fellow Aussie, what websites do you recommend for buying running gear, equipment etc? I noticed you are always opening up parcels, so I’m assume your buying online. Apart from buying direct from the maker, where else do you shop online? Cheers, matt

Hey Dan. What ever happened to your Salomon S/lab pack? Seems like you’ve been using the Nathan and now this one. Are you still using the Salomon or did anything come up since your initial review? Thx.

Sick quality content. Keep it up and good luck with the race! Did you set a goal pace for yourself?
@DanWhitehead7 жыл бұрын
thanks mate I didnt really have a goal pace going into it no to many unknowns for me on a course like that just concentrated on a sustainable effort

Hey Dan, What size is your camelbak cause I'm inbetween M and L and thinking of making the switch from salomon to on of these. I heard the softflasks tend te leak, any problems there? Gave a good race Friday Thx
@DanWhitehead7 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the late reply mate but I run a small I find they are a quite a roomy fit. In comparison the salomon 5l pack I fit the xs/s size but wear the m/l so when its loaded with gear its not so tight. hope that helps? the flasks leak if your not careful to put the lid on just right I ended up using the salomon 5l for the race just to be safe as I had only done a 30km run using the ultra pro.
