Barker is a phenomenal drummer, no question, but in a live setting, a band like Dimmu benefits more from someone who has the technical proficiency AND a certain level of finesse/emotion/variety. Barker’s drumming, while practically flawless, always came off a little mechanical and stiff when playing live with Dimmu, and some of their more grand/orchestral-centric songs lacked that human touch.

Not clean play and out of rhythm on many moments... Dimmu fall from grace since barker, mustis and vortex left. Even tho the founders of the band are still there, the core of dimmu borgir spirit is gone, new dimmu music is all baloons.
