With some skill you can manage to take them down since Level 5 or 6, I'm just starting the game and I managed to pull that off. Just try to stun them using the smaller fish as projectiles and when the croc starts glowing gold you can deal critical damage, try and bite into the croc as much as you can during critical and then when it shakes off the stun just go grab another fish or turtle and repeat the process. 1- Stun croc with projectlie fish/turtle 2- bite while glowing gold to deal double damage 3- Repeat the process around 5-6 times 4- Profit Hope this helps you buddy :)

@@Mr-Shiny-Shots you must be a high level already. If so try grabbing the other alligators that like to interfere during the fight. Otherwise just spam and evade. Hit 2-3 times and evade. s soon as the tail goes up you have to evade

You dont turn in to a megaladon... youre a tiger shark throughout the games entirety. Pup-> Teen -> Adult-> Elder are reference to size and age. You dont change species.

Early lvls dodge and tail thrash. Eat everything, spam eat barracudas and gators for nutrients. Find all land marks and chest for leveling up and point upgrades. Its definitely a grind the first few hours.

Keep grinding. My second day playing and I’m level 27. Just keep eating and do all the side quests before moving on so that the enemies are roughly the same level as you. I found the third region kind of hard because I went as soon as it was unlocked but for the fourth I did all the previous side quests and got a bunch of collectibles and I flew there region 4 and 5 super easily and now im lvl 26-27 and taking in the sperm whale (with entire shadow set) Just evade and tail swipe a lot to get the poison damage going

These are not tips for beginners. I’m in the same area with the same shark with no missions and there aren’t any goals to be achieved. Being I’m playing two hours in the exact same place with exactly the same shark. Yeah right. There are no “ evolutions” and there aren’t any “levels”. The is no aging and there aren’t any missions. There is no armour to be had. What a waste of time.
