Quick tip: luring higher level enemies to your grotto will make them non aggressive towards you. Allowing you to kill them without fear of them attacking you. I was level 4 and killed a level 13 albino gator 🐊 this way.

Humorous Errectis I just got the game but I’m very confused. I’m basically just free roaming rn and I’m completing some objectives and challenges etc. how can I continue the story? Is there a specific place I have to go in the menu or something

When you’re on the map menu click down L3 on your controller, this will bring up the legend of the map. Showing you what each icon means. So you’ll see that the white exclamation point with the light blue circle behind it are story progression missions.

Flight In June there was one point in the game in the beginning where after a certain story mission you just had to complete the side missions till you get the prompt at the bottom to go back to the grotto after level 4, become a teen then you can progress forward to the next spot

After you get bone fins, upgrade them and evade into the boats causing 50 damage to each boat while making you invulnerable

I definitely agree with going after the caches for a while when you first start, so once you start unlocking different parts you can upgrade most of them straight away

Exactly, I was level 5 by the time I left the first zone and it was easy to do if your willing to spend the time exploring to find these caches. We will see if more people give it a try.

When do i get to pick a class? Ive been playing for a couple of hours and i wanted to be a support/healer main. I just do not find tanking fun and DPS are all over the place. I want to be able to queue up for a dungeon and go!! jk btw

This is a fun game, I'm level 24, one thing that I've used and it works well when fighting other predators, is using the right stick click. Cuz it will automatically center your screen back on the predator you were attacking. So when you're in a little dual if you go in for the bite and they swim past using the right stick click should center the screen back on them. You can get used to doing this in the quick motion blurs after a while and gets pretty easy

Bounty Hunters come out as you kill the waves of regular hunters. Upgrade sonar ASAP! It helped me find all of the things and specifically albino enemies. Also do not be afraid to fight above your lvl! I was lol 8 taking out the lol 15 Hunted Crocs. Also something I have noticed there is dynamic damage you can drop limbs off! I am not 100% sure but I believe this impacts how fast they move as well as looking awesome!

I was a level 12 shark and took down an Apex Predator who was a level 20. Fun fight but I was glad it took some thought to beating that Apex Predator instead of just smashing the attack button lol.

I have a questions, I usually find myself going up against a level 8 alligator, I’m a level 4 teen and I still am finding myself taking lots of damage and me biting them once then leaving. They also get a lot more attacks on me than I do them. Is there anyway that I can solve this other than leveling up my shark?

You can evolve faster by just doing the story missions but you'll need upgrades too. Try doing a few Apex Predator missions that show up once you do all "!" in the area. That will help you even the fight :)

Ok, so i managed to kill a gator at lv1, and here's how: Rush in, take a couple of bites, then Dodge out. Wait for it's reflex to tailwhip to finish, let it come after you with its own bite, so dodge, then counterattack a few bites. Rinse and repeat. Dont charge into this battle if there is more than one opponent present until you have more confidence in skills.

Here are a few anti-bounty hunter tips and tricks that I learned that helped me get infamy rank 5 before I even left Dead Horse lake and grew into an Adult on my first campaign without a single death and zero exterior evolutions. Tips #1, #2, and #3: Never stop dashing, dodging, and sprinting: The first thing you come up against from bounty hunters is they're ability to lock on over time. This takes a few seconds and even when locked on is very inaccurate. Dashing is like sprint but gives you a tiny yet noticeable boost in your speed. The boost cuts out after a few seconds and has two possible uses. You can: (A) Use it to retreat to either get a quick healing snack and go back into the fray or run your silly little tail off to hide, or (B) Use it to get an unexpected boost of speed to either slam into their boat and incapacitate a few members or boost ahead of the enemies bullets. Dodging is very different, yet I found that it too can be used for many things. The surface dodge basically looks like your shark's dream job is to be a pilot, helping you soar though the air to reposition. And the underwater dodge is mainly for dodging attacks, not much offensive potential there. With the surface dodge you can either: (A) Throw off enemy aim or try to attack the enemy from a new angle that gives you the advantage, or (B) entice them to use their depth charges, tricking them into damaging an ally. The underwater dodge can be used for: (A) Throwing off enemy aim or last-minute dodging a depth charge, or (B) making a last-minute change in direction to avoid missing an underwater target(generally a diver). Sprinting is the most important out of all of these. This gives you a major boost over cruising speed. With sprint you can: (A) Use your speed when at a parallel angle with the enemy to boost ahead of the bullets making them miss entirely, (B) Get the boost required to breach (we will talk more about this later) and snatch those scurvy pirates of their boats, or (C) RETREAT! Tips #4, #5, and #6: Ignore the boat, don't be afraid to run, and use strategy to pick your victim. The thing about humans, is that while their fancy gear is tough, they themselves are not. Breaching is very important against humans, especially when they have over 5 boats that are nearly double your level and you happen to just be a poor teen. But let me tell you a secret, even if the boat is twice your level, the crew is not. Angle is very important when breaching, but usually, the best angle is from the sides. Usually, the best breach is to #1: align yourself with the boat, #2: cut to the side to intercept the boat, #3: jump at about the moment that you are your own body length away from the boat, #4 grab your specified target, and #5 get off the boat as quickly as possible and enjoy! Next, we cover the fact that running is actually a big part of the game. Don't feel bad about running away, and you might come across a healing snack along the way and rejoin the battle. A small note that I have to give, is that when running you ALWAYS submerge. The fin gives you away more easily and makes you more conspicuous. Another note is that bounty hunters generally move in a circle when they lose sight of you, if you keep running away, you will lose them, but if you don't go far they will probably find you. And a final note, even after the search timer is out, you aren't out of the woods yet, try to be aware of the direction the exiting bounty hunters are going so they won't run into you on the way out. Next, we cover choosing your target. On most bounty hunter boats in the game, they have a driver and multiple gunners to fire at you. Your best target depends on the situation. For less powerful, yet durable/fast boats. I go for the driver first, so that the boat is immobilized. For more powerful, yet weaker/slower boats. I try to go for the gunner that I think is the most dangerous to me. And for weak boats is general, either exterminate or ignore the boat depending on how desperate your situation is. On strong boats in general, try to judge the situation and choose which target will give you more chances of survival. Tips #7, #8, and #9: Consume is not always best/deciding whether to ignore a helpless target, dodging attacks with a victim in your mouth, and tail attacks. Consume is a useful attack, you get health, eliminate an enemy, and get nutrients. Yet it has one, major, flaw. It takes a pretty decent amount of time in battle standards. I generally ignore targets that are helpless when I am either on full health and I'm busy, or I am in a situation too dangerous to risk taking the time to eat the meat-sack when I could be attacking a more important target. So choose wisely. You might not know it, but you can dodge attacks with a victim in your mouth, be patient and wait until you are out of danger to kill your victim. Tail attacks look cool, but they are actually terrible for humans, tail attacks deal less damage and have the main perk of stunning your enemies. This makes it a must-have against wild life to stun them and get a combo in. But when was the last time you saw a boat get stunned? Yah, me neither. My advice is to skip tail attacks for humans and use them against wild life. Final tip #10: Thrash is a beast. I actually accidentally found this out by pressing the wrong button, but thrash deals much more damage to humans then consume in the earlier stages of your life. So try to use it to get rid of a snatched enemy with speed. Closing remarks: Hope this helps you shark-enthusiasts bring down those helpless humans, would like to hear your thoughts on these tips. May your teen stage shark bring horror to Dead Horse Lake.

Those Damn alligators are killing me so far in the early on.. at the moment I’m level 6.. being that I LOVE HUNGRY SHARK.. this game is that on CRACK!! When you scan stuff with your sonar, does it stay marked on the map?? Goes for license plates and chests etc.

Your starting sonar will highlight/scan stuff close to you but it’s range is very weak. Upgrading your sonar to tier 3 will increase its range, scan things and highlight Nutrient Reward items on your screen much easier :).

I've got the game through PS plus and I'm level 8 shark. And the hardest thing in the game for me so far is jumping for the license plates even at the bayou area. I've noticed there's plates around which are way higher. I've heard once when you're a shadow shark, you can jump higher. Should I wait until then or? Are there any tips on jumping higher

You need to do the story missions to evolve to elder then to mega. Facing off against Scaly Pete for the second time and beating him gets you to be an elder if I remember right. Congrats on reaching lvl 30!

Once you reach your Adult form you can jump crazy high and last longer on land to get the humans. Makes hunting them down much easier once you start to evolve.

I’m a pup shark in the bayou and don’t have sonar yet. When do I get it?

You will get the Sonar ability as your first upgrade once you evolve for the first time if I can remember correctly. Do all the "!" missions in the bayou and you will unlock it fast. Once you do spend time in the bayou looking and collecting as many caches, license plates, and landmarks before you leave the area. You can level up there doing this all the way to level 5 quick. Hope this helps you :)

@@Hapy12344 You don't have to if your level is to low. Focus on completing side missions to level up and story missions to evolve. Once you are at say level 7-9 you'll be able to take down an alligator anywhere :)

Yes there is! The starting bayou area when you are a baby shark is very easy to get most if not all the caches, plates and most of landmarks within an hour. That is how quick it took me but I'm sure you can get it done quicker :)

IMO it's very much worth the money. It reminds me of those classic PS2 and Xbox games that we played as teens where it was about interesting gameplay more then following a gaming trend like many games today. If this game cost 60 bucks out the door I'd would say wait for a sale but since its starting at 40 bucks its worth the money. I've enjoyed this game from start to finish :)

I spent the first 50 min just traveling in the first area collecting Caches, finding Landmarks, License Plates, finding a few gates, and eating fish that were a higher level than me that couldn't fight back. When you do this you gain XP along with Nutrient Rewards. The game allows you to go at your own pace so honestly once I found that out I just traveled and explored. Doing that you can level up really fast within an hour as I did :)

Brian Dugas I don’t fully disagree, I don’t play COD or Sports games but to insinuate that this game has more replay value or layers than COD or Madden is asinine. That’s why this is $20 cheaper than most games. It isn’t a bad game, but it certainly isn’t great.
