This is another one of the fabulous girl groups from the early 60's. Phil Spector produced this group. He later married the lead singer Ronnie. They had some great hits including "Baby, I Love You", "(The Best Part of) Breakin' Up", "Walking In The Rain", "Do I Love You?" etc. Sadly we lost Ronnie this year but she left a great legacy of her music.

What I appreciate most with this performance is that these women are shaking what GOD gave them without being lewd. So many current female artists show all their bits & pieces claiming artistic expression. Boring, IMHO. Seen it, thanks.

Eddie knew she was down on her luck after having left the music industry due to Phil Specter’s treatment of her so he asked her to bein the video to help her out and remind people of her. Definitely need to see the video of that song.

The Ronnettes, The Crystals, The Shirelles, The Shangri-las, The Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas... were the top girl groups from the early sixties... they have tremendous Christmas songs also... Phil Spector had a hand with the sound of the Ronnettes, Crystals, and the Righteous Brothers.. later on he helped Tina Turner with a hit song River Deep Mountain High... Phil Spector died in 2021 ( due to Covid ) while serving time in prison for murder...

Ronnie (Veronica) Spector died earlier this year. She was probably the hottest leader of the hottest female group in the 60s. It wasn't just her looks that was great, it was also her voice. It was strong, powerful and dynamic. With her back up they were perfectly attuned to their orchestration background. The orchestration was done by Phil Spector (who she was married to at one time), the creator of the "wall of sound." Great music.

The Ronettes were Very popular in the 60’s, another fantastic girl group that totally affected young women 😊 They showed us how to dance, move, wear nice outfits do our hair & make up & especially how to sing along to great songs! (The best thing Ronnie Spector ( lead singer) did was get away from her marriage to Phil Spector who was a nasty man who was jealous & controlling & abusive.)😠 Ronnie, her sister & cousin were IT & always will be. So glad you discovered them & Love your reaction 💜. RIP dear Ronnie, I still cry over losing her, she was such a huge part of young women’s lives from when this group first started 💎

"Be My Baby" was a single released in 1963; the song was the Ronettes' biggest hit, reaching #2 in the U.S. and #4 in the UK. It's regarded by some as the greatest pop record of all time. This group was actually a big influence on Amy Winehouse, especially when it came to writing and recording her second album. Another UK singer, Mutya Buena, samples "Be My Baby" on her song "B Boy Baby" and it's Amy on the background vocals. Check it out when you get a chance. Great reaction!!!
