I always think about how much flack she used to get from other country artists because she got famous through American Idol and it's just so satisfying to watch her perform in front of them all and for them to most likely realize it doesn't matter how she was discovered--this is true, raw, and incredible talent. They also may have realized that she was probably the most talented vocalist in that theater--man or woman. She deserves everything she has and more! Go Carrie!

This song was played at my brothers funeral 😭 When an audience of country music superstars jumps up with a standing ovation long before the song is finished, you know you have witnessed something really special. Carrie said in an interview that the Holy Spirit took over during the guitar solo and she did not even remember finishing the song. This is one of the best renditions out there.

By the end of the third performance everyone was standing & 95% were crying. Myself included. It was the most moving,body chills inducing thing I've ever seen

There’s not too many people in the industry who let their love for God be known. Due to being scrutinized, or dropped from a label. It’s sad really. Like K. Perry allegedly was a Christian.., who originally wanted to kind of sing in the country/pop genre like Amy Grant, MWS, Patty S, (Vince G’s ex is Amy G/ that’s ironic cause of this vid.) however she felt like she wasn’t getting anywhere fast enough. Her dad is allegedly a preacher as well. Anyway, I’ll never forget that interview of her saying “I sold my soul to the Devil.” Now look how bizarre she acts. I loved Vince Gill before I even loved country music. He wrote and performed "Go Rest High on That Mountain" in honor of his brother's passing. An amazing, touching, tender song sung by a man with the purest, angelic voice. You need to watch a live version, any of them. His voice is perfection.

This song was used for the 52nd Superbowl intro and the theme song for the Olympics. It's a motivational, inspirational hype song.
