I’m still amazed by Charlie Cox’s performance near the end of the episode. Matt holding back tears as much as he can while Foggy basically ends their friendship is just devastating to watch as he tries to justify his crusade to his best friend.

Indeed but I think the one with the dialogue with Punisher on the rooftop is the best. I'd go as far as to say it's one of the greatest episodes in any TV show.

So many shows have scenes where the best friend finds out the truth about their superhero friend. This episode does it better than any other that I’ve ever seen. This feels so much more real and heartbreaking. In other shows, the friend who was lied to gets over it by the end of the episode. But this? This will have repercussions for the rest of their relationship.

I appreciate that the show took the time to show the weight that this revelation has on Matt and Foggy's relationship, not overdone or cheap or unreasonable. I had a very hard time forgiving Karen for tricking Ben like that, though. It was manipulative, rash, and incredibly dangerous.

this is why everyone was worried after disney pulled daredevil and kingpin into the marvel universe. this show was always a dark and gritty story. disney is to fluffy to have these dark of people in a story line with the like of spiderman, capt., and the rest of the avengers.

really good characterization in this episode, excellent story telling. I know not everyone can relate to this 8specific* way of forming a friendship, but the general strokes, "meet randomly" "have good times" "in the trenches together" (though in this case the trench is a broom closet) "complete trust" is so universal, makes foggy's reaction super believable. (you know whats coming, theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxpaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

No matter how you decide to proceed with Daredevil and the other Defenders’ shows, I still argue for you checking at Jessica Jones season 1 (ideally before DD Season 2 but at least before The Defenders). Jess is the best Defender after Matt and Kilgrave is up there with Fisk as one of Marvel’ best villains that’s been adapted to the screen

I understood the way foggy felt the way he felt but Matt knows if they were two things on the law side nothing would never get done , I think Madam Gao definitely had something to do with Vanessa getting poisoned, I think as a way of get back

I'd absolutely like to see you continue with other Marvel Netflix shows but with some exceptions. They do interconnect so release order is important. My favorites are Daredevil (all 3 seasons), Punisher (2 seasons), Jessica Jones (season 1 of 3). The "kinda meh" shows are Defenders (important before DD season 3), Jessica Jones (s2 & 3), Luke Cage (both seasons start ok but second half of each season just sputters). The lowest show is Iron Fist which is really a shame when we consider the potential it had.

In a weird kind of Way Stick is right It’s very difficult to maintain relationships and keep those people safe I don’t think stick believes it makes Matt weak I think he knows that the people that he cares for are going to die, and he won’t be able to prevent it
