Clearing up any confusion: - This is the edited and voice acted version of my comic that I posted to my other social medias a year prior. - The comic is on Deviantart (my name is PeepsandTubz on there), Facebook (Peepsicola), Twitter (PeepsArt, but I've moved to Peepsicola), and Newgrounds (PeepsArt). - It took me a year to get voice actors for every character with lines and to find a suitable way of editing the comic into a video format ( I just cropped each panel myself and put it into IMovie) - I literally asked voice actors who I've worked with before for Undertale and Deltarune stuff and held auditions, picked the closest ones and put them in the video, this took a pretty long time, especially to find an Isabelle - I saw people freaking out about Isabelle calling Tom sweetie, and it wasn't my intention to make it romantic at all, she was just nervous and trying to de-escelate in a "mom" kinda way lol, but I get why people who ship it would be excited hearing that

i would like to add that if bells are based off of Japanese's yen(the Nintendo switch in the Abd is the exact same msrp cost of the switch in japan) then thru calculation the cost for a fully upgraded house is only around $45,000(based off of conversion rates as of April 22 2022 and is subject to change) wich while alot of mony is still a amazing price for a house of that size and the no intrest as well

Y'know, something tells me Redd didn't just come to Nook's island to steal. He seemed genuinely hurt by what happened. What happened at the end of the comic proves it. What better way to get Tom's attention then by scamming his represenative? Sure there were definlently some petty reasons behind visiting his island, but if Redd was Tom's first friend then maybe it was the same the other way around? I wish the comic ended better, like having Nook actually talk it out with him or maybe even the represenative talking to Redd after seeing what happened. Just thought I'd get tmy thoughts out there.

Yeah, though these things never resolve so close to when they blow up. It’s complicated. Redd follows Tom everywhere for all kinds of reasons; good people with good money turn up wherever he goes, so there’s survival to it; then there is the fact that he’s still bitter about Tom leaving him behind and being successful; but I think more than anything he desperately wants to be close to Tom again. Redd BOUGHT A BOAT to follow Tom, and is definitely not earning the kind of bells to really get a return on the investment. He wants to find success his way and he wants Tom to be the first to see it. And I guess he would rather harass the one friend he did have than risk forgetting him.

For as horrible as people seem to paint tom nook... he TELLS you what's gonna happen, sure in the older games you did HAVE to, but that's because of limitations on the games not tom, we KNOW that is the case because in the newer games it's actually an option, he doesn't FORCE anything, in Horizons your character PURCHASED a ticket to the island, you can literally stay in a tent the whole time, there is no interest, no deadline, you can LITERALLY pay it off WHENEVER you want, he doesn't ask you about it, all he does is after you pay, offer to upgrade your home for the same deal with a higher price, and construction is done in UNDER A DAY. Redd however is literally a scammer.

Plenty of smash bros battles made the Villiagers and Isabelle into rather capable combatants. But don't let that make you think too hard. It's better off not getting physical when our characters face off against certain things despite the canon. Half the time were either being a mayor or some island rep. A thing I notice that i’ve seen nobody talk about is the different fonts in the characters’ speach bubbles. Like- Redd’s font is all droopy and kinda thick while Tom’s is more solid and sophistocated, and Issabell’s font is round and looks kinda hand-written! A very bice detail that conveys their personality’s.

If I saw them throwing hands, I probably would have brought out the axe. I wouldn't actually hurt anyone unless I had to; sometimes you just have to make a point. That said, I would be dragging them both back to town hall and locking them in a room to talk while I kept an eye on them. I'd do what I could to convince Redd to stop his conning and earn bells legitimately, and I'd be as reasonable as possible with him, but if for some reason he's refusing to even so much as humor the thought then it's persona non grata status for him until he cleans up both his headspace and act.

The voice acting is so good! For me something seemed familiar in someones voice, it think it was redd but idk what about it makes me feel that way. But really good storyline! Definitely think it was a good idea with the voice acting! Made it much more like your there and to hear that emotion in them more!

God this was amazing. I'll love to see more comics from ya centering around the Animal Crossing characters, whether that be Tom Nook & Redds or even just seeing more of Peeps interacting with the Animal Crossing characters. Peeps was adorable and you did a great job of voicing her. Also loved that tired dad and tired mom energy coming from Tom Nook and Isabella. The art was also top tier.

I think in all honesty the series showcases Tom's growth in just this manner. In the first game he seems like he forces the player into a house and a job they probably didn't ask for. In New Horizons, pretty much everything is taken care of, and the player has complete freedom of how the Island is built. He also seems a lot more laid back and friendly with the other villagers. Honestly, I sense no greed and I feel sorry for those that still say that about him even without this side of the lore. Also it definitely feels like this is more in line of how his relationship with Redd would actually pan out rather than just a disgruntled couple who casually has their falling outs.

Not to mention how hard it is to find good background music. I scraped through tons of copyright free music and it's all the same and not what I was looking for. Had to go with ambient sounds. And even for the scene with Isabelle running, finding action music that isn't too serious and dramatic was nearly impossible.

I played the song "Your contract has expired" during the fight and the song "Undertale" during the rest. It fit so perfectly sometimes i forgot I had it on. This is great btw. Red is my favorite character and I loved his voice and sometimes scary looks. Iv always wanted to be an animater but just never tried.
