I assume you’ve ordered the third disk from Strictly Limited? I think this update is on the Special Edition I got (finally) back in November or December from Strictly Limited but I’m not positive. I’ll have to update the Japanese version I’ve been using. Thanks for the info.

I ordered Cozmic revelation from Japan. I don't particularly love strictly limited. Their time frames are all over the place, and the last time I ordered something it came like 5 months late, so if I can just get it early from Japan, that's what I do

Can you do for PC users as well for any major updates?

Most likely not unfortunately. I'm not sponsored by Taito or anything, so I'd have to buy myself a PC copy of the game, and page through all of the patch notes to see what all of the differences are. At a close glance, it seems like the PC version only has the Arcade games available, which is a real shame since the console versions of Darius and Darius II (I think) are more approachable than the arcade versions. A quick look at the steam page shows some pretty cool exclusive features though: Multi-monitor support (Steam only!) Use 2 or 3 monitors for that authentic arcade experience! Body sonic in the home (Steam only!) Replicate the arcade's seat speaker output using a sub-woofer! So it may be worth it some day for me to check out the PC version for the multi-monitor support, but even still, that wouldn't be for some time for a variety of personal reasons

Damn, I guess I must not have played Darius 1 or 2 with the Joycons since the last patch. I usually use my 8-bit-do sega controller

@@Bofner Fair enough, doesn't effect an arcade stick either. It's supposed to simulate how the seat for the arcade machine would vibrate, but it can't really hope to deliver. At least it's better than how MAME represents it as a rumbling sound

No not at all! I have the japanese physical edition and the update happened for me without any issues

@@Bofner Yeah. It fixes the bad Engrish in the arcade version. And TBH, I like the Saturn version. It's pretty much a perfect replica of the arcade game. Praise Acclaim for giving it to us in the US!

I know one difference between Darius 2 for Mega Drive and Sagaia for Genesis besides text and the logo: Darius 2 has an invincibility code that Sagaia apparently lacks

I really want to grab these collections but I really feel like they should have combined the Console and Arcade collections. I feel like the price tag would be much more justified.

Bofner yeah it’s a shame because the production values of this are good and that’s a good reason to charge a bit of a premium price. But splitting these releases up is just weird. It also makes the multiple versions (with slight differences) feel too much a like a cash grab rather than it being a nice bonus feature.

@@justingoers Yeah, as cool as the console versions are, I think that Darius gaiden alone makes the arcade version the version to go for if you're going to commit
