that's amazing, I wonder if I'd be fast enough to race in any pro league.. I did kart racing as a kid and I was usually the fastest. However as an adult I find myself either too broke or too clueless to know which platform would provide me with the greatest opportunity as a racer. I live in saint paul minnesota. now I'm gonna watch formula atlantic to see what the hell that must have been like.. never watched it before.. You have my utmost respect having been a pro that said! thanks for sharing Pat

i must compliment, this person clearly has a hell of a driving line, but what i found that impressed me more than anything - the fact that this person had so many chances, to where he could have gone for it , but it would have really caused alot of drama on the track (running off other races off the track and into the dirt or even worse... the wall! it but that means bumpin the inside races out or spining your own self out by being selfish and stupid , greedy and all three of those things dont apply to this guy. had just about the fastest car on the track and just passed by everyone with a smile, leaving em with a surprised look . i would like to know how big the very last packs engines were. they were pretty good , even with their slower karts
@Dariuskhashabi7 жыл бұрын
Johnny Miller thanks Johnny. If it was a race I would have for sure passed them way before that. Kart racing is very aggressive. I raced for a couple years, they bump the shit out of you!
@2K8Si6 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Great driving line, nice linear steering (no frantic back and forth corrections), and MANY times hanging out the rear end with no drama. All while showing some respectful restraint. He only went to pass when it was clearly safe. This guy has obviously spent some time on a race track. Awesome video!! Make MORE with this kart!

Yeah, I agree! I was racing a Suzuki RM250 grass kart a while back. We weren't allowed on the track without gloves - even for a practice session. On a tarmac track, I wouldn't even get in the kart until I had gloves on!!
@Dariuskhashabi7 жыл бұрын
If you really crash a kart gloves are the least of your worries. You flip and break your collar bone, or neck! \
@pvanb2917 жыл бұрын
Crashes can happen in slow parts of the track too, where you won't break things. You may come out and have your hands scrape on the track, or burnt on a hot exhaust - both of which are a lot less painful if you're wearing gloves!! It's just a no-brainer - always wear gloves and helmet!

@seanstacy95576 жыл бұрын
On a real note, which do you guys think is better: 250cc engine or 125cc? I've had both and only had a 125cc on a Kart though. I personally like the more usable power of the 4 strokes, I think the torque is very helpful especially when cornering.
@Dariuskhashabi5 жыл бұрын
I believe they only race 250's. The added weight of the 450 definitely affects the handling. My motor was mostly stock. A modded 250 would be faster imho. Even the best of the best 125's would probably be faster, but I doubt funner.

Would it ever be possible for a shifter kart to have shifting pedals behind the wheel like in F1?
@TheBlackopsbeast3606 жыл бұрын
Oickled Pnion there are dd2 karts which have a paddle shift, they’re only two speed though, hi and lo. For a 6 speed sequential, it’d be more trouble than its worth, as in F1, those paddles are just buttons like on a video game controller that tell a hydraulic to shift the transmission, in a shifter kart, you’re actually physically changing gears with that handle.

Seriously if you value your hands and fingers, wear some decent leather gloves! :) I'm talking from experience, as a biker, in my youth thought it was much cooler not wearing gloves! Everyone kept on at me to get some and wear them, eventually I gave in, literally the next day I was hit by a car reversing into my path, the gloves got wrecked but my fingers and hands were all intact!! :) Just try to imagine getting through one day without your hands!
