Well the line in German speaks of her "Taubstummen-Nummer" and the English went for something along the line of deaf act... which could be misinterpreted if taken out of the context; Franziska is less saying that Elli was seeking intention with her naivity/innocence nor her being deaf; instead I think she says that Elli makes herself look more naive and innocent with exaggerating her being deaf;

@@michaelklaus Agree. It was more meant like trying to garner more sympathy, as in "Poor innocent me, I'm deaf and mute, I couldn't possibly be up to no good" (in Franziska's mind). The subtitles were a little unfortunate in that case. It's not a very small mistake either, if it makes non-native speakers think that Elisabeth is possibly pretending to be deaf. Oh, well.

3:30 So season one premiered Dec 1st 2017; it showed the suicide on June 21st 2019 and then skipped to the events of Nov 4th to Nov 12th 2019/1986/1953; Season two premiered on June 21st 2019... which as I pointed out above was the day of Mikkel's suicide on the show; the story skipped a few months and resumes here on June 21st 1921/1954/1987/2020; one year after the suicide; meanwhile in the real world bo and Jantje started calling the seasons cycles; so when this shot here showed that the last cycle would begin June 27th 2020 the fan groups were on fire discussing whether or not this meant that season 3 (the last season = the 3rd and last cycle) would drop June 27th 2020; so season 3 did drop on June 27th 2020

9:05 The guys are watching with the WRONG subtitles. Which means they will probablo also not get certain meanings later on because the dubbing book is simply slaughtering them to achieve lip synchronicity... For example in this exchange between Elisabeth and Jonas via her translator, Jonas asks not "what IS behind the wall" but "what did they want behind the wall" with an implicated "to do"; the question here in the subbing book doesn't make sense becuase Elisabeth already said "there is nothing behind the wall" implying she wouldn't tell him no matter how often he asks; he is basically saying "if there is nothing, then why did the French risk their lives to get there anyway?"

They sort of go back and forth on this, they got it right at the beginning (when it transitionned from young Noah to adult Noah, they commented on the incredible casting), then got it wrong, then right again in the discussion about Noah's journey (and wondered about the identity of the guy being killed). Either way I don't get Aaron's theory of Noah = Bartocz. If they (wrongly) think that the guy being killed is Noah, he's about the same age as adult Noah but doesn't look like him at all. And if thet get that Noah is the one doing the killing, he's about the same age as teenager Bartocz and doesn't lool like him at all either!

@@acmh7538 they often discussed many worlds approached in the first season and at least one I made a comment about shows recasting the same character in what if scenarios is NOT how any of that works... I guess that sometimes they still assume that there are alternate timelines in which the same character looks different... OR simply that they completely forgot about the 33 year thing and that two versions of a character have to be (multiples of) 33 years apart from each other in the age department
