I'm still blown away that this is the same designer who made Nemesis and Frostpunk... crazy versatility! I had a bit of trouble organizing everything into their modules, that system is a bit of a mess from a newcomer's standpoint but I appreciate I got all that content without having to buy an expansion! You still planning on going over the solo module?

I totally agree that the designer is capable of so many things! Yes, I will cover the solo 100%!! I just need to finish 2 or 3 projects before but I promised I will take care of it 😊

Hello! Just one thing here: Luis The Blind's capitol is Provence , not Cisjurania. Your explanation of how settling costs work was perfect but the costs should have been from the context of Provence as the Capitol.

A great description of a very complex game! Not complex in that it cannot be learned, but there are just so much going on, so many moving parts. I gave this a fair shot (the HRE version) but it just didnt work for me, if I didnt have a shelf of too many unplayed and barely played games I might have kept it and gave it a better run but it ended up being sold off. I also think it was a mistake to include so many variations and modules in the base game. I know it sounds stupid to say its a mistake to offer additional content, but I believe if they had stripped it down to the core + the solitaire and decided on a single box instead of the two, and reduced the price slightly it would have fared much better than it did. Or possibly removed the additional modules but joined the two cores into a single box even could have helped. It might just be me but when I go into a new game I prefer to have a limited start and expand on it if I take a liking to it, being overrun by a massive box packed to the brim with half a rulebook of variations and what was it, 15-20 optional modules...Cards, tokens, miniatures, all need to be carefully sorted and divided to make the game playable... It overwelmes me. This game is way better than its lack of exposure would indicate and I think the marketing and release philosophy was the biggest issue.

I don't remember when was the last time someone wrote to me such a long, well described comment and I agreed to EVERY SINGLE WORD!! Absolutely.. I'm the same as you- give me a slim game without too many things to add. Core game+solo. That's it! If I want- I'll get more. That being said, and I say it only because I played this game so many times.. every module is relatively easy to integrate with the game. There's one module who's just adding one card. Another module is just to replace the barbarian tokens etc... so modules are annoying everywhere, but here it's not so bad. This game is so good in my opinion, that I bought the HRE so I can play it with more players. Thank you for this comment ❤️
