I would recommend getting used to ducking backwards. If you misread the height of a slash, ducking forward can put you in a spot to get headshot by a sweeping attack

by ducking backwards do you mean ducking and looking up or ducking and moving backwards? I know what you mean by getting headshot by the sweeping attack, I've been trying to find a way to circumvent that it was my only roadblock with the boss

Great guide, thanks for the tips. Only suggestion I could make would be to add some slow-mo clips of the diagonal slash attacks. You do a great job at explaining it but there is just no visual of the actual attack to go along with it. Had a few attempts so far, gotta get a read on his startup animations for attacks... bit of a step up from the cave troll lmao

I’m new to the game. I play the free version. No one I know plays this. So the learning curve has been steep. With that said, only issue I have understanding this as a new player (fighter class because of that heal lol) Is I can’t see when you duck. You seem real comfortable with his rotations but in the playback I can’t read those movements because you look straight at the ground. I know you have to do this to duck but it makes it really hard to tell. At any rate I’ll be trying him out a few times. Maybe go naked with some boots and helm lol.

I don't think damage counts when he is in his beginning animation. My only reason for this is because if you curse him here on warlock, it registers a hit but does not give you any hp. Seems like he is invulnerable in that window

learn circle left troll method in normals base kit rogue with dagger mastery, poison wep, and rupture. you will definitely die a bunch but once you figure it out its brain dead easy and opens the doors to the rest of the bosses. or just play warlock and be gay

At 4:25 is there any visual indication to know if he’s going for a low slash or head level slash? Probably the attack giving me the most trouble and from the vids I’ve seen/practicing it looks pretty identical in the windup

i havent done it yet on wizard but i would imagine you want to run ignite with either staff or rondel. id imagine you can also meditate for magic missiles during each charge slash. this boss is def doable on any class!

@@ReavenM1911A1if you have to fight a boss solo id say cave troll is probably the easiest imo. if you have a trio cyclops and lich are pretty simple

wizard main here that goes solo bossing, run staff mastery and ignite. you dont have enough damage or time to cast to kill with overload set-up. if you have money for gear, rondel ball would work too
