Reach isn't dependent on charging, a unit with a reach weapon always fights at one initiative higher even if they didn't charge. The Dawnbreakers would have been at I5. Also Sanguinius is Weapon Skill 8 so those grey slayers would have been hitting on 6s

Regarding the tac squad taking 25% casualties from exploding rhino. Page 244: Pinning does say you continue to take Morale checks when pinned, and can fall back. Page 191: When to Test does say you take it in any phase that you lose 25%, but that Assault phase is an exception. So RAW you didn't need to take the test, but it feels wrong. It should probably say 'Assault phase is an exception if the casualties are a result of melee attacks in the fight phase, where the assault result should be used instead'

Theres a warlord trait for playing Traitor Blood Angels in the new book. There is no option for Space Wolves, Imperial Fists or Dark Angels currently.I hope Luther gets some attention soon.

Sanguiniius should have used the BA reaction and charged the contemptor to avoid all the other incoming fire

Disordered charges are simple, you don’t get to benefit from any bonus that you get on the charge. As a white scars player the golden keshig are fine, they get to use there lances but don’t get the +4 initiative

unfortunately about half the community disagrees, i would love a FaQ on this to end the debate. But RaW i lean you can not use the lance, but RaI maybe you can. I Would rule that the lance can be used if i had the power to decide.

@@MountainMiniatures the lance isn’t a bonus it’s a weapon, the rules say you lose charge bonuses not weapons. The lance can only be used on the charge, it doesn’t have to be, you can use the chainswords if you want, you don’t suddenly lose the ability to use them when you have a disordered charge so where is this logic of not getting to use the lances come from?

Apothecaries aren't Consuls. Are you thinking of the Primus Medicae, by chance?

The only special rule Apothecaries get is Apothecarian Detachment, which talks about which units they can be added to, and the only special rule Primus Medicae get is Sacred Trust, which lets a unit they're with reroll It wIll Not Die.

Nice Batrep but Luka really needs to stop playing the games for his opponents. Rules discussions and clarifications I get but the constant advice given on tactical decisions is a bit irritating. Board awareness is a skill important to the game after all.
