Great batrep as always! One thing I noticed, Stevie fired the Companions' bolt pistols, presumably so he could charge, but they're relentless so they could have fired their bolters anyway.

Hey guys FYI the interemptors have rad grenades which activates "after a successful charge" and overwatch happens "after the charge too". Meaning the order of operations is that the terminators to test their charge to see if they make it and then overwatch happens. This is important because of the rad grenades rule, meaning that the terminators count as T3 when they eat the overwatch fire. As the plasma burners are S6, each failed save is instant death.

You need to have a successful charge which means they need to get into combat. And so works in the fight phase

It’s combat as when you declare a charge overwatch is resolved before the roll to see if they get in or not. So you wouldn’t know if it was successful or not.

Plus, DA list was good but nothing particularly "competitive" and it win (thanks to the owner of course) against the "broken" Stone Gauntlet. This should make many people think. Great game, gz!

on the central target placed by the rite "unbroken bow" it does not give points to the DA player, it gives +1 point to the opponent if nobody controls it or +1D3 if the opponent controls it, but it never gives points to the DA, it's a pretty bad rite

Fun to watch, although I do prefer the narrative stuff.😂 Only thing I noticed was you made the point right at the end there about heavy getting rerolls against templates. You did that on your terminators and then decided to take a four up rerollable invulnerable save on the phalanx warders instead of the three plus we rollable that they would have got for being heavy😅

To make Warders even better, they get a 4++ when touching other Warders. So you were playing down with them. They also gain +1 WS when charged by the enemy

Question: at 26 mins, landraider fires all its guns into a dred. Pretty sure one side on the the LR cannot shoot at anything? I thought that the sponsons were at a 180 degree angle for the side of the vehicle, not from the weapon tip

hello quick question. For a legion champion when it says in the rules that he gains a free paragon blade. Is this in addition to the weapon the centurion already has or is it when you upgrade your centurion to a champion the weapon is replaced with the paragon blade? I play World Eaters and say I wanted to give him an excoriator chain axe does he still have the paragon blade? I know I wouldn't get an extra attack if true but would i get to pick witch weapon to use and be able to switch depending on the foe I'm fighting?

No, the boarding shield prevents them from claiming the bonus for two weapons. Warders are an extremely low-volume unit.

this just looks like one of my standard games, what makes it meta? Also your dreads dont even have conversion beamers and only 1 squad of each of the good units? I bring 30 plasma flamers in pods for my completive list. Pins the unit and then shoot any 2-3 units for free.

Imperial Fists > Dark Angels. Stone Gauntlet + Warders + Raan + literal Heavy Weapons Guy (special character can't remember the name)+ Illiastus Assault Cannons on scoring Heavy Support is essentially unbeatable. And that's not even a full list.

Thanks for this content, I loved it! I haven't watched too many batreps, but perhaps I shall have to join your channel to enjoy all the goodness. Being rather new to HH, there were three rules things I am a little unclear on: 1) At minute 49, should the units exiting the destroyed transports take a Pinning test? I believe they are supposed to, not a huge deal though. 2) Several times it was mentioned that a Spartan would fire Snap Shots, such as at minute 54. But wouldn't the Reinforced sub-type ignore the effects of shooting Snap Shots whether brought on by Crew Shaken or Crew Stunned? The Reinforced rule specifically mentions both. 3) This one I think is a big deal, I don't think a player can take a few wounds on an Independent Character (like was done at minute 71), then while allocating wounds from that same wound pool, choose to allocate wounds to another model instead to save the IC from losing its last wound. From the way I read it, when choosing to allocate wounds to a model in a unit, a player doesn't have to select an IC model that has already lost a wound. However, if you do select that IC model, you must continue allocating wounds to it until either the wound pool is empty or the model is removed as a casualty. Am I missing something? It's a bit sad that vehicles actually make lists weaker not stronger in most cases, I'd actually say this IF list is pretty soft as far as Stone Gauntlet goes, the DA are just obnoxiously DA as per usual. Beautiful armies as per usual, just a pity about the colours...

Fafnir Rann, 2x20 phalanx warders and 1x10 phalanx warders, 3 apothecaries, 3 contemptors (Las + Fist), 3x10 HSS (1 Las, 2 Auto) with a castellan to make them line is the usual IF SG list I end up playing against locally and it is horrific
