The Dark Angel's Primarch, Lion El'Jonson has risen once more! His bloods course with a desire for vengeance against the forces of Chaos and he immediately sets his sights on Angron, Primarch of the World Eaters. In this fast and furious 1,000 point match we will see these two brothers fight. Note as we shoot our games in advance so we can do edit magic this is before the latest balance update.

@Commander Shortsight I'm going off of the wathammer app forge builder thing. I'm not sure how often they update the points on there. I also don't know about the DA points cost. They might also be a little over but Idk. I'm just asking because I'm trying to build a valid world eaters army and wanted to understand their composition a bit better. Did they cut points somewhere? If so How? Etc.

The effects and editing have gotten so good, this ep is so visually arresting and easy to follow for a game that can otherwise be so hard to translate well to a camera. 40Ki40M is easily the best gameplay series on KZbin

Lions warlord ability allows for heroic interventions on a unit he chooses, you could have got the bladeguard into Angron turn 1 which may have cause his attacks to be split against hard to kill bladeguard, or ignore the bladeguard and get some wounds through at least.

My maths may be off, but I believe the lion can kill around 18.5 gaunts on average in a turn or 20 max. So basically wiping squads every turn although the lion is better suited to less squishy targets as the limit here was his attacks rather than strength or ap.

Man, this episode killed my excitement to play Dark Angels with Lion, that was a horror-show! Maybe 10e will adjust the disparity.

@24fretsoffury disparity? I'm not sure I see one. I mean yeah, Angron is scary, but this report left out almost all of the shooting that would normally define a Dark Angels list. Most of those units would have been weakened by plasma fire, not to mention that Tak chose to start right on his deployment line and not further back to get a better position or avoid getting charged. The game is about scoring points, so keeping Angron busy is probably the better call in the long run when compared to doing the lore battle shenanigans. In smaller point games the more kill army typically wins from what I've seen so this didn't seem all that surprising. Besides the Brutalis getting bodied without doing anything. That was a tragedy.

It's more of a beige than grey. Bone White. Middlestone for a base (mixed with bone White or off white) and then Burnt Umber for the shadows but I think I did a lot of mixing... It's all a blur

Love this channel. Been loving the warhammer IP since the first total war warhammer game. Now looking into buying my first 40k army.
