I love your spooky decorations! I will always support the bloodbath of Slewfoot, one of the few witchy books I love. I really need to get to A Sorceress Comes to Call this month! I think for me dark usually comes down to books that make me shiver. Maybe not the scariest things I've ever read but make me feel that dark atmosphere. I'm also not a dark romance girlie so I think my recs would be more in the horror/dark SFF realm like The Only Good Indians, The Shining, and The Murders of Molly Southbourne.

I am enjoying this collab. I like seeing the different versions of dark literature. Some of my favorite dark themed books are, "The Passage, " by Justin Cronin, "Vampires of El Norte," Isabel Cañas and, "An Unkindness of Ghost," by Rivers Solomon. Now that I think of it I would add," Ruby," by Cynthia Bond and Colson Whiteheads, "The Underground Railroad,." I too enjoy light at the end of the tunnel 👻

You know I'm always up to collab! And yeah as I was putting this together I realized how I'm definitely not someone to go to for dark recommendations other than a horror book here or there 😂

Oooh the spooky decorations look so good!! I really need to read some more Brom. And same here with Darcy Coates, she is such a vibey author hahah. I'd highly recommend The Nightmareland Chronicles by Daniel Barnett on audio for some dark reads. As well as Chuck Tingle's horror ones, so good 🤩

Thank you! I bought even more decor since this video 😂 I love a vibey author and that's the perfect way to describe Darcy Coates. Ohh yeah Chuck Tingle. Been wanting to read Camp Damascus!

Yay welcome back to your amazing bookshelves and decorations! 😍 It's like marking the turn of the season haha I don't read a lot of actually scary dark books (as you know) so I tend to think of it more in terms of darker atmosphere/themes for me.
