YESSS thanks so much for this video! I’ve been looking for a video where you add an all over color plus lightener. You’re right, there’s like no videos on here! This was super helpful. I was starting to feel discouraged, because anytime I would use an all over color and lightener, where they would meet, would be brassy.. This technique looks more “organized” than the way I was doing things, so hopefully this helps.💕

So at 5:06 you stated not to mix the lightener with the dark color while applying to her hair. But then at technique 3 that's exactly what you did to melt. I'm a little confused.😅

Mandy Brennan hi! I stated that you need to be clean when applying so to make sure you wipe your hands so you don’t have dark on your gloves while applying lightener and it mixing together and getting splotchy. Does that make a little more sense? :)

Great video! How come the darker shade won’t bleed over to the highlight when washing? And when you tone all over, does it only tone the lightened parts?

Do you put eq shades on wet hair or dry hair and can you do either or let’s say you lightened someone with a full balayage , leaving out the root to give a nice root shadow but wanna tone the lightened pieces that were rinsed

You can do either way! So when i'm lowlighting and I want to use shades I would use the cream developer and put it on dry hair and then at the shampoo bowl you can tone all over which would tone the lighter pieces! So many ways to use SHADES EQ

khaled K I wouldn’t recommend that, you’ll end up going backwards in your process of going lighter and you’ll likely end up with more of a brassy tone than you’d like
