To be honest, Seda's scream at 6:54 was AWFUL, but considering that his VA is Japanese, I'm not going to complain. Also, I love how he throws his sword to the side like that.

My theory for how the Genie or "Fake" Genie got to the Zelmite Mines connects to the rumor that the Zelmite Mines is somehow Divine Beast cave. You see when the "Fake" Genie (F.G.) was destroyed and turned back into a rat it was tossed by Flag and thrown into the Dark Cloud when that happened Dran came to save Toan and the moon people that were in the destroyed Sun Giant. While he was doing that he must of caught the rat in his fur and carried him unintentionally back to the cave where it fell off. Once Toan restored the time line all the remnants of the Genie's power began to disapear but the rat still had enough residual power left to resist the time fix and created a time paradox. When the time paradox was created the Geneis dark power seeped into the Dark Cloud 2 world enough to affect Sirus and implant the Dark Element while it spent the rest of the 10,000 years from then to the present where the F.G. was found by Monica and Max regaining its power. Without the actual genie and having to use it's own power it took much longer then 400 years as prior to be back to full form. Due to the paradox though it can't leave the mines. Only functioning as a rift/connection between the two worlds.

First I played this on the PS2 demo disc. Fell in love with it after 5 minutes of playing. Searched the stores for it for weeks. God I wanted to cry when I finally got my hands on a copy of it. Took me several years of continuous on and off playing to complete it.. but it was the best damn game I've ever played, and probably ever will play. Only thing that can possibly top this is Dark Cloud 3, if they make it. I'm so glad I kept my copy of this, can always sit back and play some good ol DC1..

It would be even weirder if Sophia screamed in pain after the assassin stabbed her. Also, I was shocked that Seda *swore* in this part of the game.

i agree... wen my mom bought me a ps2 back in d day 4 me & my brothers, this game came with it... and i couldn't believe how addictive this game was.. i really think that this is 1 of d reasons y people still play ps2...im trying 2 find me a copy now.. so i could play this again.. this games is like a very good movie that stars you.. and u go through level after level 2 try in restore ur lost village.. i give this game 2 thumbs & 8 fingers!!! VERY LEGENDARY!!!

Haha, when I was 10 I got stuck in this part because I had no clue how the game worked, I literally went the whole game with a broken dagger and then when I got this fight and you had to use elemental attributes, I was basically screwed, never passed it afterwards, recently I started playing it again and being older, the game is loads easier now, funny, I can't wait to actually beat this game soon.

I somehow beat it and had the patience to get the 7th Heaven and Supernova to defeat the Dark Genie. However I've never beaten the 2nd one, but I'm working on it. I'm at chapter 3 with a not so strong ridepod, Monica has a shamshir and a crystal band, and max has the smash wrench and bell trigger

+Peter Goreham lol. Keep both max and Monica powerful. Word of the wise, from someone who beat ALL the chapters (including the secret chapter 8) the ride pod becomes useless, I never relied on it, and at chapter 8, he's useless anyways.

TO picachuatack19- you have to go to the gemo. soomething parts when in the dungeon nand push triangle like your going to make an area or rebuild the place.and you put in all the parts and read and thn you can go to the final boss fight

Umm, I don't really recall even needing to use the mouse, haha. Aside from clicking off the emulator to view something else like Facebook but anyway; you can configure each specific button with a key from your keyboard. c: As for analog sticks, you'd need to get a plugin and install drivers so it registers your actual controller, PS3 or Xbox360.

Sorry I'm 6 months late; but if you're still looking for a PS2 Emulator; PCSX2 is the one I use and it's really good. I run it on my laptop and don't get any fp/s lag on Final Fantasy X or Dark Cloud, the .iso itself you'll have to scout around .isohunt for a while.

yup i use one to play on my laptop its called pcsx2 1.0.0 simple download and you can configure the keyboard to the keys and analog sticks to your liking, as for the dark cloud use utorrent and power iso and find a trusted torrent on thepiratebay.se or any other torrent providing site then look up a guide or something, if i have the time and i can find free recording software maybe ill make a vid
