If you use the broken dagger as an attachment it maxes everything on the wepon

How would you pull this off using the Alternate Item Menu Glitch Trigger? I can manage to store the dagger in the negative item slot, but I can't seem to retrieve it. Also do you know if the contents of your inventory have an effect on the glitched item you pick up? It always seems to change depending on what's in my first slot.

Out of curiosity, since there are a bunch of people that can't get this to work at all, even with my method of leaving the console off for 45 minutes, I have a question. I have been starting to think that the glitch could possibly work differently depending on either the console or disc you're using. Which PS2 model do you have? The Slim or Fat model? And which Dark Cloud disc do you have? The regular disc or the "Greatest Hits" disc? The Great Hits disc has a red label on the bottom of the disc instead of a black label. I am using a Fat PS2 model and the Greatest Hits version of Dark Cloud, and the glitch menu always triggers for me.

I am using a fat one, and I don't use the greatest hits disc. We bought Dark Cloud right when it came out in like 2001. I will answer any questions you need, since I really want to find out why it's not working also.

Okay, I got the method 2 glitch menu, anybody know how to tie these together?

I might make a video of how to do Method 2 Glitch Menu + Early Chronicle 2 + 108 Floor Dungeon + a new method to restore your inventory back to normal without Infinite Defense. All while using the only Manual you have to give up to do Method 2 in the first place. I found that if you let Paige restore your inventory back to 10 (because this is a scripted event that adds 10 slots and doesn't care that your inventory is 0) and use 5 pockets found in the Glitched Storage menu, you can get back your 60 slots. Then you can freely repair the glitched in blade, find the story's other 4 pocket upgrades to get 100 slots like usual and still be able to run around all 108 floors in most dungeons. :D

Adding onto this, I wasn't able to trigger the glitch on my SCPH39001. I retried it on my 50001 and that worked fine. The SCPH39001 was Browser 1.20, CD 1.20, Playstation Driver 1.10, DVD player 2.12U. The SCPH50001 is Browser 1.40, CD 2.00, Playstation Driver 1.11, DVD player 3.00U I know you've done some additional work involving speedruns, so I thought I'd throw that information in there. It doesn't seem that all 39001's can trigger it.

Can you get the 108 floors on PAL version?

100+ floors is possible on PAL, you'll just need to use the PAL method of getting into the glitch menu instead of the NTSC-U only method shown in this video.
