What I love THE MOST about Netflix is the commitment on including productions from all over the world. I don't speak or read a word of german so I do lose a lot when I'm watching the series or even this video whilst trying to read subtitles but it's such a small price to pay in exchange of having other cultures/languages/people on screen. Love it.

@@pineappletv625 I've come to know about that law recently but I don't think this is why Netflix does it (or it's not the only reason, at least), 'cause they have streamed productions from India, Japan, Korea, Brazil... I think one of these days I even ran into a film from the Philippines. I'd be willing to admit though that I might indeed be too naive on assuming that their motives are ~the promoting of other cultures and helping countries~ rather than some other financial or marketwise aspect hahahah

@@MarissaCooperButPoor It's a very "rich" language. You will probably reach a point where you will be frustrated and it feels like you make no progress. But don't lose confidence and stick to it. If you do that you will be rewarded with a better understanding for languages in general. And you simply cannot translate a lot of German sentences in another language. I think German are often misunderstood because of that. One example would be the stereotype that Germans don't have humor. They have/had great humorists and you can make tons of wordplays with the language. It's just not translatable. Most German jokes get lost in translation. The humor is too much rooted in the language itself and the society.
