One thing I'd like to mention in the roster section is that you can also go with 4 blitzers, 1 runner, 6 line elves and 2 rerolls. Since darkelves have soo much on their shopping list (witches, reroll, apothecary) it might be a good idea to go with the leader skill on the runner early.

I think the thing most people miss with the assassin the stab ability has no fail so regardless of what happening you can stab for example if your about to score you might as well stab it makes the opponent do a armor roll and you have zero chance to have a turn over

Couple of quick notes. Wrestle guard linemen are a great backbone for this team and allow the positionals to do their jobs amazingly well. Also, the 4 blitzer start, instead of a dedicated fan can take a runner so you start with pa3+ and dump off, which can let the blitzers find holes, catch and score, typical elf stuff. Finally, assassins work well with guard, if they fail to armour roll they have a second use getting stuck in the middle of a fight providing assists (maybe defensive could work too?) Shame they're so squishy. But I wouldn't pick one up until multi-block comes out. Love the guides, keep up the good work!

Cheers for the guide. Necromantic have been my favourite team, but I'm recently trying dark elves on bb2. I think they feel really strong but can get mucked over at low tv before they can spam dodge.

Andy, how do you throw the fireball in the game? I've taken the wizard twice now, and when I want to throw the fireball, it doesn't work, I can only take the zap! And worse, when I choose the Zap, it's impossible to deselect it

I used to love the DP +1 across the board buff from 3rd edition. It seems like these nice fouling days are back. Even more reasons why to save up for Guard on the Blodge Steppers. Being able to foul in a scrum is great. A stun can lead to a flank crumbling.

@@kuvuta Sure. Basically, it's the changes to Sneaky Git. Before, SG saved your player from being ejected if you rolled doubles on AV but did not break armor. NOW? SG prevents your player from being ejected for ANY AV roll AND lets you move after the foul. So if your player has SG, you cut your odds of being ejected by (at least) half. And if the player has a decent MV, they can take a foul and then move to do another job (filling space, providing an assist, etc.). SG is an AG skill. And elves are one of the few groups that get normal access to General (Dirty Player) and Agility (Sneaky Git) and has the speed to take full advantage of SG. The best play is for your line-elves (who are your cheapest players) to take random General skills on their first skill. Only 3 SPPs and they only add 10k to your value (keeping your TV low). Then as soon as you get a random DP, they take SG as soon as possible and now you have a player who has a decent chance of getting opposing players off the pitch at a lower risk than normal. Remember, with SG you cannot even GET ejected unless you break armor. So you will at least stun the target when you get kicked out. It still hurts bad when even a line-elf gets ejected. But hopefully, they will have KO'd (or worse) at least a couple of opposing players before that happens. Add in Kick Off results that give you a free bribe and inducements, and you can make the odds even more in your favor. It will probably lose you a game when the DP/SG does get ejected early (bad rolls do happen) but it will help elves at least maintain player on pitch parity more often than it hurts. Combine that with some smart surfing action (and I think this makes Frenzy even more tempting for at least one elf even on non-Dark Elf teams) and elves have a legitimate way to win the numbers war or at least keep it in range that agility players are still viable.

Once she has Wrestle Tackle Strip Ball, the which might want to take AV+. For just 10k Teamvalue you highly increase the chance of being able to use a player worth 170k. Maybe even AV+2 is worth 20k, if you have SSP to spend.

Yes. With passing less tempting the running teams have become better. Combined with the leap nerf, wood Elves seem less the go to race for dash coaches. Until people realize that Woodies can easily run the ball as well. Probably Sneaky Git DP fouls will do better than PO did since you can mitigate much of the armor even in contact with the fouling assist from Guard. Getting rid of the value players is a huge benefit of fouling which makes the risk acceptable, because the pay of can be as big as removing Griff from the game.

yes, but everything fails on a 1. the reason for having ag1+ is that sometimes you have negative modifiers, like picking up in tacklezones - better AG removes this problem somewwhat.

Hi, I start the game, by watching other guide (with less explanation than here). I see that I should just avoid assassin but take a runner in my team give him “leader” skill. But both of this tips are not in this video (and I start my team with this in mind) so that was good tips or not ?

I’d say it’s solid advice. But it is based on an older rule set. Talking BB2 rules runners were amazing starting units. Passing used to be based off the agility skill so they could throw much easier and you could lean into that much easier and leader was great as it gave you a re-roll while you got witch elves and the like. It’s still a viable build, but I think the witch elf is a better starter over the runner in bb3 imo. And assassins have gotten better. But they are by no means necessary or should be on a starting roster.

@@futuretrunks9839 Thanks. Since I got my ladder roster with 13 player. and 1 runner 1 assassin et 1 lineman I can switch depending adversary team and who have the ball. That give me choice and 1 reroll more when I use the runner. And that give me some substitute to keep 11 player on the field and avoid journeymen that work well

stab state that you can only blitz stab if you didnt moved , so you can stab and then move aways in a blitz but you cant move and then stab

Just an FYI for anyone with the same question.. the answer is.. Select your Player Select the Blitz Action, from the quick menu below Validate the action Move your player to base to base contact with the target Bring up the Radial menu and choose Stab (unlike a normal blitz action, you will not be able to move after the Stab)

As far as I know, catch on the blitzers shouldn't work with dump-off. Catch now only works (in TT at least) during your own turn. Too bad; would've been a funny build.
