East-West relations can be tricky at times, but there's no comparison to black-white relations. I'm a black female, but because my dad is white, I instinctively have a "preference" for certain types of white guys. (Or black guys who act white, but as these people are relatively scarce, let's focus on the bigger picture.) Thanks to America's history of slavery, my proclivities are taboo and dangerous. My ultimate dream in life has little to do with romance. My dream is to sit on my front porch while my white "farm hands" pick cotton and sing old Euro spirituals of the type my paternal ancestors sang. In America, people ain't right. People ain't right at ALL.

Hi. I just watched your video. Great job on 2 young beautiful people who borh look fabulous with their new coloring. I am an older person who had natural chocolate dk brown hair. But at a young teenageer it started turning white. I started dyeing it then to black which i loved. For over 30 yrs i dyed my hair which was always very long. As i got into my 60's, i became tired of coloring it and last yr i stopped coloring it. Its a natural silver white. It feels good not to hide this color. I get compliments on it. I do miss the dark hair but now i like this natural color. Young people, be proud of what u r. Never let anyone make y feel ashamed of your heritage.i am mixed myself with spanish, native indigenous, and east asian ethnicity. When i was younger i received rascist remarks and i know how u all feel. But as i got older i realized that i am not going to give power to ANYONE to make feel bad about my ethnicities. If anyone tries i tell them that i am very proud of my native blood, my Asian blood and my spanish blood. I keep my pride and honor for all my ancestors for my ethnicities. People can only make u feel bad about yourself if u let them. Hold your head up high and be proud of who u r and your ancestors and dont pay ignorant prejudiced racists no mind. God bless u all..

In 20 minutes??? That's INSANE!!! I wanted blond highlights in my early twenties, and I ended up sitting in the hairdressers chair for roughly 10 hours!!!! And I have fine hair!! My hair felt horrible after that ordeal, like hay, and it broke just by looking at it! And when I went clubbing, the blacklight lit up my hair fluorescent, what made me feel like a glow-in-the-dark-stick! All in all a horrible experience, to say the least! Now my hair is turning grey gradually and I love every bit of it, since it softens up my look. But I'm young at heart and of course don't want to have that eldery look. I would love to someday have the opportunity to have my hair colored by you and get the sexy sassy icy blonde ombre hair color.....You're truly gifted! Keep up your amazingly artistic & beautiful work! 👌💪👊🔥🔥🔥💖💋

I am so glad to hear Guy say we ALL do ... its a right of passage to go through self rejection and trying to figure out how to disown yourself and identify with a group you have deemed "the in crowd", the trendsetters, etc. I am white, of Polish immigrants and I disowned my heritage for years. Its a lifeswork to make friends with yourself and to learn to forgive the world for its immature disability to label people, and so we label ourselves. But at a deeper, spiritual level we can learn to disown ALL labels and connect with people as children of the Universe, all the same in different costumes. When you take off your Halloween costume, you are your real self underneath. We are at an immature stage in our society where we are obsessed with labels instead of getting to know and welcome and relate from the inner place we ALL share and are ALL the same. Its a relief and a humbling to let go of all the ego labels that separate us, and rejoice in where we are connected. We ALL hurt in our unique ways and have suffered the ignorant world that has to find our connection to all. The human beings that we ALL are and can celebrate together, in unique and in mutual ways. We have seemed to leave out the "mutual" because it goes way deep and needs exploration and awareness. Guy Tang is a master and its a joy to watch and listen to him shining the light in so many ways.

So I guess I'm the weirdo of the bunch but I think everybody of asian descent are the most beautiful people in the world! I've always hated myself for being white with light hair. I feel so blended in and looked over, nothing special and always my whole life wanted to have your skin color, hair color, and dark eyes! I guess the hating yourself goes both ways. Thank you Guy for bringing up these topics because nobody talks about it really in a productive way. I've always wanted to see an asian american become as successful as madonna or beyonce in this country too - and I'm as old as you Guy! I love colorful hair and one of the best things about it, is that it led to me watching Guy Tang. Guy, you are such a strong force in so many positive ways. Talk about a super power, you're literally changing the world by bringing such beautiful colors and energy in your artistic vibes, through hair, music, and speaking about things that need to be communicated, and then on the other end of the spectrum you're removing color in the same way.... probably most significantly, (even though big 9 is amazing and you got the level to such perfection in one session.... only you!), I'd say that the way you remove the negative color issues from the world with your super powers, and show others how to live with love for themselves and others is just pure. You are pure of heart and full of true goodness. I don't even know you but I just love you too pieces! Love your music too! I did not realize that there aren't any Asian-American singers and that's crazy because I watch The Voice Global on KZbin and there are MANY qualified, talented singers that audition!!?? You NEED to make a home bleaching kit for those of us that can't afford $200+ to go to a salon. They'd FLY off the shelf. Or is it already in the works **nudge nudge wink wink** 😊

This! Products for none professionals. Im going to get my license however it would be a dream for those who dont have the desire
@Coffee.for-Breakfast3 жыл бұрын
It still wouldn’t work because a non pro wouldn’t have the skills to get these results no matter how strong the product is. That’s why guy probably would never because he wouldn’t want to have his name behind results like that

This would make a lot of hairstylists lose respect for him. When Brad Mondo brought out his own line of colour people in the industry stoped respecting him. Also, it’s about the application of the product and how colour works that makes guy so amazing. There is no way a home kit can make such amazing results, as usually it’s ‘one size fits all.’ Hairdressers mix products to suit the client. Two different clients may want the same colour, but they will probably need two different formulations to suit their own hair.

I don't know about other parts of the world, but it most certainly doesn't cost $200+ to have your hair bleached in most salons

@@IumieEko here it easily costs around 150-300€ :( so sad. Box dyes never go that light.

My hair is a level 3 and it lightens really fast. It scares other stylists but I’m used to it.
@DoveDaniels3 жыл бұрын
Highly textured hair do lighten really fast especially if you are the person in your thumbnail. That's why it's always advisable to use lower volume if it's a new stylist that's not developed dexterity in their application or they can use the step up volume method of application (you upgrade your developer from lower to higher as you progress). People of Asian descent can handle a much higher developer but I do have some guests who've surprised me (biracial Asians or unique cases) also but when you're an experienced stylist with a diverse guest list you just smile and do what you do best. Approaching the 10 year mark as a hairstylist and salon owner so I have seen a lot of cases along the way.

You probably have fine hair. I have the same problem. It's also that people, especially those not accustomed to highly textured hair, assume that people with super curly hair automatically have thick hair. Black people are actually prone to having fine hair like whites. They don't understand that that our hair just is able to mimic q lot of volume due to the shrinkage/huge surface area creates by the curls.
