I think this book is a lot like the prince by machiavelli. Machiavelli was seen as evil for right practically a guide on how to be a good king, that shows how kings can exploit and take over the lives of their kingdom. But at the same time, now the commen person could also be aware if those tactics.

yeah because Robert Greene read "The Prince" when he was 15 and said that it was one of the 3 books that changed his life

I love reading Robert Greene’s books but in all them he basically has this same argument; that you ‘could’ read this for pleasure but these laws are endlessly seductive and you’ll be so tempted to try them out and you won’t be able to resist them. I don’t believe this is true. You can read them for the thrill of the ride and not be seduced into implementing them. What has been far more valuable to me is recognising when these laws are unfolding before your eyes. I’m also interested in history, so I enjoy his heavy use of historical anecdotes in all of his books.

Imagine if this guy retired after he fought Mayweather and avoided all the losses and beatings he took afterwards. I think he would have been considered the greatest UFC fighter of all time - a bit like Ali of the boxing world. We would still be talking about if he could have beaten Khabib. Instead he got beaten badly by Khabib and twice by Poirier. His stock has gone right down and is considered a bit of a joke now, definitely not taken seriously. His record still speaks for itself but he's lost a lot of respect and admiration from the fighting community. Such a shame.
@matthewsalmon47368 ай бұрын
Definitely true he would’ve been considered the best of all time by everyone because the fashion that he beat Eddie Alvarez who was a beast in his own right would have been hard to argue had he finished his career on that note.

Brother, this has to be one of the greatest Conor McGregor videos about, when I read the book I immediately thought on Conor. It was on 2018, when he was about to fight Floyd. A lot of people don’t understand his mentality on why he says things, or why he always attracts controversial things, but he always get the attention of a lot of people like Oliveira or Chandler, even when he was rehabilitation of his leg Also, how he became the face on MMA, even when he was like 4 or 2 fights on the UFC Even Con, which is on a losing streak, gets called by great fighters from different divisions, because they know that he is still the face of MMA This is a bit of why the new prospects of the UFC can’t be greater or even close to what it was the McGregor era maybe they have a little of clue but I just don’t think that Ian, Sean, Movsar, Diego, Walker, Ilia, Aljio, Do Bronx, Poirier, Volk,… Even if you don’t like him, the number talk themselves Connor has like 75% of the top 10 pay-per-view

@BoyDflow9 ай бұрын
Not only him, Khabib by his attitude and answers too. That's why today Khabib is the biggest sell on UFC, that's why Dana keeps asking him to come back. Connor went to far and lost. Manipulation and entertainment always lose against authenticity and real word. We all are humans, and more than be entertained we want tu be inspired.

And when you take these routes, not only do the fall backs come on you. But they affect those that wanna take your reign down in negative ways. Just look at khabib, so honorable but was reduced to jumping out the ring and it wasnt his fault. Ali might be the best because the fallbacks on himself never affected him, but I wonder what he did to others? When your goal is to win.

lmfaooo I saw the thumbnail featured "the joker" and immediately knew this was made by a "sigma male". Tragic. I don't even have to watch it (or would I given the video must feature a completely fictional character and present it as something we should take inspiration from. How about no? Anybody can make a story up - it takes a real man to write his own story, ensuring it leads him to place of strength.

Nah, you’re reaching with this one. You can try and “assume” that anyone in power is using an evil approach. I’ve leaned in my life that when you make assumptions… you are normally… wrong. He’s definitely a smart man and a strategist. But very far from an evil version that you’re portraying. To think that he “played” Dana White is just comical. Dana White play 48 laws far more than Conor ever will. This vid is just an attention grab and long shot. I disagree 100% on your opinion

48 laws of power isn't banned in any prisons in the USA. The book is written by a Jew, Robert Greene and that's just a look into the way they all think. The book basically says, be a snake.
