Mike was raised from 12 to be world champion , like a pitbull, a beast, by Cus DAmato. He trained twice a day every day. He went through hypnosis sessions. Sports psychologists. Cus talked to him every night, motivating him. And he had one in a million genetics, he was bench pressing 185lbs at 13 years old. Last but not least, he came from Brownsville and was tough as nails and antisocially violent. It was a perfect storm to create a world champion, and unlikely to be repeated.

Sorry but bench pressing not even your bodyweight at 13 is not 1 in a million genetics. But he was also way stronger than that. There was a story in iron ambition about Mike actualky benching 250lb at 13, and he was about 190 himself at that point.

What amazes me most of all is the beautiful arc of Mike's journey, and how now later in life he has become sage and gentle, a warrior in the garden. Think about this, Mike Tyson's career ended in a bit of a golden age for heavyweight boxers. Fighters like Evan Holyfield, Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis all outshined him as his star waned. And yet, in 2023, there is no boxer more famous or relevant in the world than Mike Tyson, with the only possible exception being the legendary Muhammad Ali. But aside from Ali, there's Tyson and that's it. The most popular active boxer in the world was named after Tyson, and he just fought a man whom Tyson trained. Mike Tyson's continued impact on popular culture isn't an accident. For a long time, the public treated him like he was a thug, an animal, but his longevity has proven he had wisdom far beyond nearly all of those people who judged him for so many years.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:30 🥊 Mike Tyson's early interest in the lives and philosophies of conquerors like Alexander the Great and Machiavelli contributed to his rapid rise as a world champion boxer. 01:15 💔 Despite a traumatic childhood and a history of arrests and bullying, Tyson's early life experiences fueled his determination to succeed. 02:32 🥇 Tyson's professional boxing career took off under the guidance of trainer Cus D'Amato, who helped him become the youngest heavyweight world champion in history. 04:11 💪 Tyson's disciplined training regimen, including thousands of sit-ups, push-ups, and more, emphasized the importance of endurance and discipline in achieving success. 06:05 🔥 Tyson's early life challenges and traumas didn't cripple him but instead helped him become comfortable with discomfort and build resilience. 07:36 🌟 Confidence, according to Tyson, is earned through adversity and training, not just through positive affirmations. 08:44 🏆 Tyson's obsession with his goal of being the best in the world and his willingness to make sacrifices were key to his success. 10:13 😱 Tyson used fear as a psychological weapon, instilling fear in his opponents to gain an edge in the ring. 12:04 ⚠️ Tyson's life took a downturn with legal issues, recklessness, and addiction, highlighting the need to adapt to life's unpredictability. 14:32 🔄 Tyson's journey included embracing his darker side and facing his past, leading to personal growth and a better understanding of life. 15:25 🌞 Tyson learned that the purpose of life is to love something greater than yourself, appreciate every moment, and embrace self-discovery. Prime example of that the fathers are so important for a boy to grow up with right morals and the understanding what beeing a real man is, because beeing arrested 36 times at only 13 years of age is insane. He could have been another young boy getting killed, but a stable father figure that pushed him to be better and loved him simply saved his life. All these young thugs need is a good mentor. So please do like Cus, help these kids doing dumb shit. Purpose of a real men is to serve the community for a greater good. Dont be ignorat. Just like me he tried to prove something to himself, because doing crime seems so manly to boys without a stable father figure. You could blame men for abandoning their children, but women are the ones to blame, because they choose the wrong partners and then they ruin their own life as well their kids life. A real man is hard to find these days. Women be careful and men be better.
@dominiobaby41875 ай бұрын
You claim you are not ignorant then proceeds to blaming women on finding the bad men,denying accountability for both sides but rather an endless cycle of blame its funny and ironic because his dad left or probably died while his mother was the one with him till she passed away,and also not all men are bad like this and not all women will always pick bad partners because of their morality sometimes might be shit.Now your statement whilst you said that a 13 year old boy committing crimes is masculine would favor a Judgement that states all serial killers are masculine justifying the fact that actually killers are masculine and doctors are apparently feminine for saving people now i said this because that is your mindset sadly just like west no good morals endless decades of a government spoonfeeding you lazy people your whole life makes you ignorant.A real man stands for others a weak man blames around now react as you might

The M Spinks fight was a typical set up. At the time, i firmly believed that HE and NOT his brother Leon, could beat Tyson. As an aside, I boxed for 7 1/2 years. So, I was very excited to see that it was going to come about. M Spinks (MS) advantage was height , reach and better boxing skills. What do the powers that were do? They put useless weight on MS, which made him sluggish and very ineffective. It wouldn't even surprise me if they drugged MS. Fact is, they wanted to make damn sure the loose cannon challenger didn't stand a chance.
