I had a statue with a small chip that wasn’t noticeable. Just knowing it was there always drove me crazy though.

I'd try to just send a complaint to the company about the chips. Sometimes they'll send you a replacement. We pay a ton of $$ for these statues we should expect nothing but perfection. My brother got Prime 1 Superman and the box numbers didn't line up. They paid for the return shipping and replaced with the numbers lining up.

Thomas C That’s exactly what I did with SS Cable Ex. They have the best customer service in the business. Being XM is overseas I can’t imagine how much of a pain that would be.

I’m happy with the xm Phoenix, the translucent resin was a new level statue some years ago, and I think holds up, the dark Phoenix xm, which I will try to track down is brilliantly painted and pops, I love both renderings for different reasons.

I like it. Most of the time I like SS over XM. Im not bias I just go with what my eyes say. This is the best Phoenix statue hands down. Nice pick up.

Yeah, I got the X-23 statue and both portraits had chips in the hair. Got out my paints and touched them up and now you'd have no idea there was ever an issue. Don't plan on ever selling the piece but if I do I'll let the buyer know, but yeah, it sat for months driving me nuts to know it had those chips until I fixed them.

This is the piece that got me into statue collecting and the XM brand. In my opinion, apart from Morrigan (HMO), this is the best female 1/4 statue. Its a pity that their x-men line hasn't been able to match the awesomeness of this statue. It has so much presence!!!! Come on XM, we need another great x-men piece on the level of Magneto on throne, Cable and Dark Phoenix.

XM Gambit, Cyclops, Colossus, & Wolverine are incredible statues that are better versions than XM. Only one comparable is SS Gambit. It’s a tie between those 2 for me.

Those tiny chips are such a simple fix, forget glue, all one needs is a rat's tail diamond mirco file to sand and some paint, easy peasy! Very impressive piece, always prefer the painted flame effect over the translucent resin, love the way the 'Baroque' gold tone pops against the 'oxblood' red. My only gripe is the size and resulting lack of displayability, there's no reason for any of these statues to be taller than 20 to 24 inches max. Cheers, 8-)

Whoa...that statue is beautiful! I can see why you like the fire-hair portrait, as her face looks more fresh and natural and doesn't have the eye makeup. It seems that as her face becomes normal, the more make-up she wears. For example, the portrait without the flames and the white eyes has more makeup on the cheeks and above her eyelids. The last portrait with her eye color showing has darker eye makeup, possibly to make her eye color stand out. It is as if she has to use makeup to hide the struggle she goes through with keeping the dark phoenix under control when she is in more control of herself. I wish I had this statue!

She looks amazing!...as far as the chip in her hair, my suggestion would be that Phie could probably get some red, orange and yellow craft paint, try different combinations on a sheet of white paper and probably do a good job of matching the paint in her hair flame...I'd give it a shot, just make sure to wait for it to dry cause paint always dries a different shade...stay safe!

Impressive. Love the look of the bird and it's wings. The flame portrait is the best, the chip is not a problem, as it not really noticeable. My second favorite portrait is the one that her eyes are visible. The expression is better on it.
