Storm is such an amazing character, i personally rate her in top 3 female comic book charactera. That being said, her movie version is far cry from comic book one. Alexandra Shipp's portrayal of Ororo Munroe is, let's just say forgettable and uninspired as much as her casting for that role. Big part of blame falls on the screenplay too since writers struggle to give her satisfying and meaningful characterisation. That way she ends up being kind of a throw off, support character. Personally I'd like to see Angela Bassett taking up on a role as an older Ororo but hey, one could hope...

Dark phoenix was amazing, given the circumstances(disney sabotage), it is light years better than captain marvel, and mr Kinberg actually wanted to do it justice by making it a two part movie with a minimum of two hours each to flesh out the character arcs(especially Jean and Cyclops) but disney's bullying tactics won in the end, it's so sad and unfair what goes on behind the scenes, people only see the end product and bash it without understanding why it was done the way it was. This movie flopped because disney wanted it to flop in favor of captain marvel.

Alice Choup it honestly just translates as miserable. Like, no one wants to be there. The room was cold and the girls were the only ones putting a little warmth into it. Nick holt and Evan Peters are absolutely charming and funny, but gave ZERO effort. Either they were highly uneasy about the questions, or they just didn’t care. Either way I felt uncomfortable the entire time. I’m glad someone else noticed
