I'm at 30:22 and have never been so frustrated with a group of people not killing 😒 what to me is a clearly a very dangerous person or at least very dark intentioned dangerous person, that wormed their way into the group through deception and keeps trying to get them attracted to them for what seems insincere reasons. I really loath people who play with others hearts in order to endear themselves more to them just to use them. I didn't like or trust this character when they met them and before I watch any further I'm just saying this isn't even the first time I wanted them to leave this person somewhere or kill them if they would't go away. The rest of the group wanting them to come along and being really excited about it or really sure would be enough to get me to be quiet about my protestations but it would not get me to ever trust them fully for a second. This would be the moment my willingness to comply at all and any built trust would be gone. I would have already snapped and when Birdie put their blade in the gut of that lier I would have immediately helped finish the job. I don't believe there is anything they could say at this point to make me change my mind because Birdie has way more credit at this point with everything in this story and adds up to a better person than I'm sure the other one is. This is the first campaign I have ever watched and I've never gotten to play so maybe I could never play a character that trusts anyone easily. I honestly picked up on the fact that this person who had joined was full of c*** in their first encounter before they even made it to a Taste Of Tandoori, so I don't know if i'd make a good player? How do you play a game when You don't even need a Perception Check to Know that things aren't right both from the story they're telling you and just the fact that you can look at them and tell they're lying?

Erika was a guest on the show and it would have been rude and boring of them to just kill their character right away. @@matfan-q7p Yu IS using every available avenue to do their job, some of those avenues are manipulation and lying. The PCs have lied and manipulated people as well though, in all three campaigns. I partly agree they should have just killed them right then but I think if they had, there would have been a lot of assassins sent continuously after the Calloways and the party and there would be absolutely no chance of convincing the Courts to not hunt them literally forever until all three Calloways are dead. As is, I don't know if that can be negotiated out of but killing a major Court asset would be a bad insult to add to the injury of stealing an artifact-level item that the Court was responsible for the safely of.

I kind of hope they don't go that way with it. It would make for dimishing returns with each new reveal. I *do* think that Orryms late husband probably was. Orryms been assuming the attack in which he died was targeting Keyleth, because Keyleth is the big VIP everyone knows about in Zephra, but there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it part of the episode where Hondir has no idea who she is, and that makes me think the Grey Assisins had a different target that day. My other theory coming out of this episode, is that all the uber-Ruidis born (Imogen, her mother, and in all probability Otohan as well) are all descended from Alyxian. [SPOILERS FOR CALL OF THE NETHERDEEP]... Alyxian was a Ruidis Born warrior during the Calamity who was so badass he became the champion of 3 prime deities at once. One of the other titles he is known by is 'The Paragon'. Assuming my theory is correct and Otohan is not only Ruidis Born but descended from Alyxian, 'The Paragon's Call' could very well be a veiled reference to her ancestry.

it was a brilliant play by Erika to make Yu make a horrible mistake in trying to seduce Orym. Yu hadn’t been around long enough to understand the depths of Orym’s grief. They misinterpreted Orym’s denial as just not being interested because of Dusk’s gender instead of being unable and unwilling to move on. What was supposed to be an enticement ended up spitting on his husband’s memory

Yes, but if i remember correctly the main reason Beau didn't talk to him longer was for the sake of brevity, the main mission at the time was restore fjord's powers by way of messing with a white dragon (ancient). Yasha might have also been brainwashed at the time, so Marisha decided to stop satisfying her personal lore obsession in favor of letting the plot progress. (Especially in a guest episode where she's conscious of the limited time the guest has and doesn't want to "waste" it on lore dumps)

Although as an amateur astronomer Matt is torturing me through his not quite accurate usage of astronomical terms. The zenith is the point directly over your head. And object "at zenith" is as close as it will get to the zenith, which for stars and moons (not artificial satellites) occurs on the meridian. (The line defined as where the sun is at noon, am/pm are ante meridian/post meridian) Apogee and perigee are specific points in an orbit, apo means far, peri means close, gee means earth. Apogee is the farthest point in an orbit from earth, perigee is the closest point in the orbit to earth. (Exandria isn't earth so technically Matt should make up a different suffix than -gee but that isn't a big deal, for the sun we use -helion) The solstice and equinoxes are dates, soltices are the longest & shortest days of the year, equinoxes are days with equal daylight and nights. (Equinox litterally meains equal - night) Anyway the "apogee solstice" is just means "point on orbit farthest from exandria, longest day/night of the year". (He could have used perigee atleast so that way its when the moon is closest to the planet instead of farthest away) And the event sounds like the magical equivalent of a magnetic reversal where the poles change places, except for this its the lei lines moving. Just the curse of knowledge, Matt is slightly misusing words i understand and its slightly breaking immersion. (Maybe i should pretend that its just terribly named in universe, a lot of irl science things are terribly named.)

@@izaahdvorak4597 they don't know Birdie at all, she's been gone for ages, her story is batshit crazy, and Dusk/Yu hadn't shown any aggression or made any attempt to harm any of the members. Literally just someone out to do a job they were sent for. And Birdie stole state property and secrets after deciding that was an okay thing to do because her husband "saw" some ominous visions in a drug-induced stupor. In real life, everyone would call that kind of person insane and be opposed to them. I'd say the Bell's went easy on Birdie.
