Pint of home brew and a D&P review perfect! Excellent guys as always. Making a dark rock session series India pale lager later this week they do produce some great kits. Shandy 😂👍

More great content from the D&P. I bought the bosses boss part grain after seeing your reviews. Tried it on the weekend and I wasn’t disappointed. Got the west coast APA part grain fermenting right now.

I'm sure you've already tried this, but I now use a teaspoon of gelatin mixed with 100 ml of water and add it just before bottling or kegging and it gives excellent results. I found that the finings supplied with some kits didn't always clear my brews.

No have tried that, good idea tho cheers 👍🍺🍻

Another great review of beer kits. I have to say I have just brewed 2 of the Dark Rock one can kits and as you said they are better than some of the premium kits I have done in the past cheers guys. 🍺 🍻 🍺

Great stuff as usual. I have the Summer Glory conditioning at the moment. Was surprised to see a pack of dried elderflowers in the box! Looking forward to trying it when it's ready though.

It's a cracking beer!

I hope you guys get to the bottom of your haze issue as you've been making crystal-clear beers for years. One factor which I feel affects clarity is mash time. Try stretching it to a 90 min mash with recirculation and see if things change. In addition to this, protoloc and a cold crash with Harris Beer Brite is my weapon of choice. Cracking content as usual from the D and P. It looks like it's going to be a great summer in there.

Looking forward to what you think of the summer glory. IMO the best one that festival produce :)
@michaelward37233 жыл бұрын
Totally agree, summer glory is fantastic. I also think their Landlords bitter is as good as any light pub beer 🍻
@FU2Max3 жыл бұрын
@@michaelward3723 That's interesting. I tried the Landlords last month along with summer glory. Brewed the same day did nothing different but the Landlord failed, summer was delish. It was light in colour, had no depth and very little taste. The first time i've had a problem with a festival beer. Have you had any problems the Landlord before?
@michaelward37233 жыл бұрын
IFU2Max Ive always found the festival landlords excellent, I always have one in the barrel. That said I did have a problem with Festivals New Zealand Pilsner, I purchased two kits following positive reviews, but both turned out dark and tasted more like Pilgrims Father's. I tried another kit months later and it looked and tasted like a Pilsner, so I definitely give their Landlords another go. Cheers Michael

@@michaelward3723 Thanks for your reply Michael. In that case I'll give the Landlords another try. Happy brewing!

Hi Gents, great review once again I am just ordering a Dark Rock West Coast. Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs but have you tried crash cooling the beer to help to get it clear just and I do believe the finings could be the key

Yes mate always cold crash

Nice one chaps! Hazy beers... it's just the all-grains? Is the false bottom staying in the kettle for the whole process or just for the mash, if it's staying in have you noticed the boil not being quite as vigorous?
@beerkitreviewspartridge10833 жыл бұрын
The false bottom stays in but not noticed any difference to the boil
@houseonthehillhomebrew46173 жыл бұрын
Not that, then! May be the lack of finings in that case.

good evening Lads, just wondering do you distill alcohol at all? I was watching another channel and he made a beer which tasted like crap and instead of dumping it he put the keg into his boiler / distiller and he distilled the alcohol from it then dumped the rest down the drain, I think he got 1 litre of pure alcohol from it or something from a 5% beer which was off, might be worth looking into, instead of dumping beers that you don't like, I currently have a keg full of beer which I think has an infection, tastes pretty off, I reuse my yeast and I think this might be the problem, a wild yeast got in, anyway, cheers Lads

Don’t you think these “premium” one tin kits are a bit of a con? You can pick up most premium 2 tin kits for about £22

I think all one tin gets are there to intice you in. you have to had some to them all,the better quality your additive the better quality of your beer
