Thats how zerg should be played, in that last match. Overwhelming aggression, anything and everything to get to that main base, nydus, droppers.... That was some lore accurate play style imo, from both players there.

Props to Dark's nydus + dropperlord combo which is actually pretty clever! Dropping units helps the nydus worm spawn. If A) the nydus spawns, they're screwed or B) the drop fails, the nydus can be used to retreat. It's more expensive to get both but maybe they're secretly a match made in heaven...

Yeah, i heard someone talk about this too (I think it was Rotti or maybe PiG). That Clem is practising against the koreans, since that is usually what he struggles the most against. (probably because of different metas etc and in EU, its most likely just Maxpax and Serral who can touch him) =)

Crazy how zerg wins majority of tournaments anyway. It's almost like nerfing aggressive terran play with the widow mine instead of turtle play makes the game unplayable for high level terrans without addressing the power of the tank which is the menace of turtle terran. The game is still zerg favored at the highest level. Tournament level is not top level. Besides some maps the zergs have just thrown. Specifically on dynasty, there is no way that map is 70% terran favored unless the zerg is stupid enough to take the gold. 1 simple expansion pattern and zergs now win more often then terran on the map. The stats remain terran favored because of all the games already played where zerg takes the gold, however the recent winrate is zerg favored. Zerg is so very clearly favored in tvz if the zerg is competent enough to beat mass tank.

The lack of creep connecting the main base and the second base is such a Dark thing. Also the creep not covering the whole „islands“ is such a big part of many zergs, not bringing Tumors in the main base to be able to plant spore crawlers right on the edge. Give Zergs more creep range

That comeback was so satisfying! Especially the 7 fresh mules-kill in the last game - never saw that in a pro game before. And it really spelled the start of the end for Clem. He was down almost 2000 minerals from that point on, i.e. ~35 marines less.

SCVs have 5 extra hp because they dont auto heal (drones) or have shields to regen (probes). Yes, they can repair one another, but that costs resources (minerals and build/gathering power).

Command and conquer had a button to spread out your units (x) to prevent your infantry from being run over and allow players to focus on the strategy part but starcraft 2, 12 years later, said 'naw, we want people to show us how fast they can press buttons if they want to succeed'... burrow is one of the best upgrades a lot of zerg players fail to ever use. like it basically punishes terran and protoss players who never make a raven or probe but rather rely on oracles/scans and static defense.

Dark seems to attack the production more than Clem is used to. So Clem is relying on reinforcements to push the Zerg back that never come.

Regarding how long matches typically last, I have an AITA moment here. So I had a match where by the 10 minute mark I was in a bad spot that I knew I probably couldn't get out of. It seems like that last match, Clem was just burnt out. The mistakes and such he was doing were very uncharacteristic vs. what we've seen him do before. Lowko you keep saying these long series are about stamina well... I think Clem was just completely out of steam, good fight though. Dark was just on it especially in that last match, absolutely relentless

Instead of listening to music, I put on a game of starcraft, and drop it in my pocket. Multitasking what not. Lowko, Pig, Uthermal.. and then.. harstem and winter.. There should be a channel on Pandora, "best of sc podcasts." Yea, Maru needs some pep talk. Clem needs to look at Oliveira and get even more creative. Or.. I'm pretty sure once they can step it up, if.. it's going to be a bit boring because it's TvT at that point. Or dark can step it up. Actually.. Dad Dark is even better huh! Dark is a possible to say the least. Yea. I'm starting to become a believer, & then I'm just kidding I will bet on him right now over all but Serral.
