What an insanely smart play from cure in game 1 in that base trade. Games like this are some of the most chaotic games and therefore super easy to mess up, but he basically stayed safe by taking advantage of the ultralisks massive size and building a maze supported by planetaries and ghosts that dark just couldn’t break through without rebuilding, even though dark had the better army by far. It wasn’t enough, but cure gave himself a chance in a terrible situation.

Ikr? It's the mules, terran units are stupidly supply efficient and mules cross the eco gap that zerg is supposed to have as its main strength. It creates a terribly grindy war of attrition where the zerg throws units constantly at the terran until the terran runs out of minerals to spam with. I'm envious you quit so early on. I should have too.

honestly, the muta tech would work, it was high risk high reward. Just a bad call on base trading killed it. After he killed all the scvs his focus shoulda been to just hold. He had 2x the econ at that point

Im only diamond, but I am a one race player. I understand the other races, I think (gotta know your enemy to beat them), but I just think protoss is cool lol. And they are the underdog race (in terms of results).

I'm a diamond Z myself, but I off-race as P just a bit. It really helps when you not only understand the units and mechanics from the campaign, but also recognize the multiplayer builds. Especially great for scouting, and even made the match-up more fun for me. Try out PiG's B2GM series if you'd like, it's a chill way to learn a build that a lot of other low-level players know and use.

What bad choices did he make? Dark kinda just out maneuvered him. 1 and 3 hinged on taking out the ghost academy or the ghosts. About the only thing he could change is to recognize the ghost is his lynchpin and put his ghost academy like by a planetary or invest in a raven to hunt down infestors

Maurader concussive shells - they slow units on hit aka "breaking their knees." As an opening strategy, best used against mass stalker or queen

I'm going to be the guy to say it: Terrans not making a couple of ravens to hang with their armies in late game tvz is the dumbest thing ever. Passive detection for burrowed infestors, antiarmor missile, even autoturrets in a pinch, it is painful to watch a professional player with the apm to use it, fail to utilize one of the most powerful support units in the game.

Serious question- and this is based on the infestor update. Rather than remove the infested terran ability and replace it, why didnt they just nerf the ability? Either the dmg, the longevity etc. i love starcraft but i find myself utilizing infestors way less and more directed.
