Thanks for the great cast winter! The maps were an extra treat on top of seeing spirit get to show off his skills. Haven't seen him much but his target fire is amazing and the depot mazes are awesome to see from terrans

It was very cool seeing these new maps. I definitely agree there is not much variety. I'd love to see more destructible terrain. Like rock walls that can be broken in order to make a path over a river, or destroying a column that makes a bridge over a chasm. Or even some pathways that only allow for small units. Awesome casting as always Winter.

I would love to see maps with all sorts of crap on them. Larger maps, elongated maps, even more levels, walls you have to bread down to escape your main. Minerals you have to mine to reach other areas. Neutral mobs. The middle of the map having migrating hordes etc etc etc.

You don't want that. Look at overwatch two, the real game died for that. Warcraft 3 reforged? Honestly the further Blizzard stays away the better for the game.

They need a new company. They need someone who's going to pay attention to the game and give people what they want to play instead of what the company wants the players to play. I'm reminded of phantom mode about this whole map making conversation. They had npc planetary fortresses in the middle of the map blocking rich minerals and gas, so you had to devote time to taking it. I think they could create some sort of npc auto turret thing that doesn't expire and put them at some expansions or middle vision poles. Something like that would be cool. Or introduce pirates that fly around base 4 or 5 so you have to fight those off to expand. Literally anything except for 'if you can take it it's yours.' They need to have another company take over and release starcraft 3. And no it won't be like overwatch. Starcraft has a very strong community of people idly sitting and waiting for a change. Like me. I stopped in 2013 because you could never tell where you were in elo and it was frustrating. Played a placement match against someone in diamond top 20 in his division got demoted from #1 in my division of plat to bottom gold. I won the match btw. Demoted almost 2 whole ranks. I wanted to fucking throw shit. I played with the guy many times still remember his name. He was a great sc2 player and I will never forget how jank their ladder is/was. Now it's free to play and shit. They just devolved. It's just a tragedy. There was always issues with certain units, Terran had high mobility with medvacs and protoss had no answers to that. They either drop cannons in the base and get tanked or they split all their units up and marines ate them alive for 50 minerals. It was just a shit show.

I can't wait to see how Blizzard will monetize SC3. Loot Boxes that let you replace your basic units with their campaign/co-op variants? T3 units only unlockable through the premium season pass? Terazine upgrades for units that work like the Diablo Immortal gems, requiring a 1 million investment to play competitive?

Unfortunately the most likely new owner is going to be Microsoft who has been trying to buy Activision-Blizzard for a year, which is hit or miss, and they're being stopped politically because of anti-trust or some stupid shit. At least it probably won't be EA.

In my opinion, I'd spirit has building armor and the two bunkers earlier he lives that push that kills him. Not sure how he gets the building armor. But 2, 6 marine bunkers with a horde of marines behind them is actually considerably hard for zerg to handle without end game units

I want diverse maps. Screw competition, make moving island bases, bridges that retract and if they do all units on them fall down. I want excitement on the map, SCII maps are so well build they are boring to a fault.
