Good God almighty! Unexpected but highly welcomed just like these new Bose Sport Earbuds I'm trying out, using this surprising orchestral theme to hear the refinements both Bose and whoever's fully responsible for this theme. Glad ppl are still into Metroid universe. Sammy doesn't get enough attention!

As Samus stepped into the ruined spacecraft, she heard a sound that made her blood run cold. A sinister laugh that, though distorted, sounded all too similar to her own voice. "No...!" She thought in disbelief as she shook her head. "It can't be...!" She had defeated Dark Samus ages ago, destroyed her utterly. There was no way she could be back. Suddenly her helmet picked up movement in a nearby corridor and she whipped around, arm cannon raised, to see the twisted reflection of herself emerging from the darkness. Though her face was hidden behind her helmet, Samus was sure her doppelganger could tell she was surprised to see her as she soon laughed again before raising her own arm cannon. Then Phazon began to radiate and glow all around Dark Samus' body as she charged up a Phazon beam.

Instead of calling her "Dark Samus" I feel like she should be called "The Dark Hunter", the space pirates got this one right.

Pirate Logs to refer to Samus as "The Hunter." They are absolutely terrified of her, and will resort to all manner of desperate measures merely to slow her down - and for good reason. Pirate Command policy is to consider any unit sent to engage Samus to be assumed lost right out of the gate, and in the sequel, their Oh Crap reaction on finding out about Dark Samus and thus realizing there is another Hunter is priceless. "Truly, we are cursed."
