here's my view for those who are getting discouraged: point 1: yes mca takes longer but what's the problem, it's just a difference of 2-3 years, that is a very small number compared to the rest of your life. unless you are in a bad financial situation there is no need to rush to get a job after 22, try to explore as much as you can in your college days (other interests, business, design all that) point 2: not always, BTech != better than mca instantly. if they got their education at IIT, sure that may be the case but not every BTech student which is the impression we come under when hearing such stuff. you will see btech people who don't know shit and entered BTech cs because of package and BCA students who are epic coders. it is mostly subjective. hiring and salary are not based so much on the degree as it is on your expertise. point 3: yeah the isro thing is unfair, we may have to just accept it. but to be honest, most of us want to go to product-based companies I feel. point 4: yeah true, many companies are like that I dunno why but also remember that faang is not the only companies you can go to. India has many amazing startups and big companies (that sometimes pay more than faang, no joke) that are not so strict, not really such a panic worthy point either. point 5: true. foreign is better, provided the college is nice point 6: yes, mca will never help you crack google but fun fact, neither will BTech. (read this again, not everyone that does btech gets an awesome job) it depends on how well you know your stuff and how well you can think, the practice, the creativity, and ability to solve problems. not tryna bash BTech or uplift mca, just that BTech has its own cons which we won't see, we will only see that mca is a bad degree and start feeling bad. lift your head up and do what you want. remember, this ain't a 4-year race, this is a marathon, okay rant over ;)

I am a commerce maths students so i obviously can't take btech so for going for BCA+MCA is the right option for me i will start preparing for nimcet without coaching and age would definitely not be an disadvantage coz bca+mca is a 5 year course and BTech is a 4 year course and most of my friends who are persuing IIT took drop of 1 year so we are actually on same level 😎

Where are you from ? If you are from Mumbai please don't pursue bca rather go for bsc-it since you were a math student you can opt it In mumbai bca is done externally i.e no University from Mumbai offers bca degree

Most unemployments are btech graduates, not everyone got placed in btech, not everyone clear Btech papers . If you your college is good then only btech is good. One of my cousion take admission in shit private btech college . He was unintentially failed to get fees and it took him 6 years to complete btech. 2. Secondly in btech also you have to learn coding while in bca/mca u learn coding as a subject it helps. At the end I would like to say it depend from person to person.

@@tiyaroy1928 No , I didn't get campus placement . I was selected from the group of 24 students in competitive interview (coding tests etc), I think I was on a plus point because of my C++ skills they will ask you a little competitive but 80 % basics . I am from a tier 2 college { Greater Noida }

Do NOT go the MSc route if you wanna get into the industry. MSc is considered as a academic kinda degree, for people who do PhDs later on, research and that kinda stuff. MSc is considered as an "impractical" degree for the tech industry. Unless you get into a great college and have freat academics, papers etc, you would be at a disadvantage.

If you are great in math go for nimcet ,nimcet has like 937 seats in the 11 NIT's but if you not from General maybe upto 3K rank in nimcet will do, I am no expert ,i am currently pursuing my degree BSC (MSCS) final year i.e. 3rd year,I am gonna do MCA (NOT IN NIT'S) nits have a three year course,and others have 2.If your goal is to join in a MNC in software field.1.get good communciaton skills,2.Know and target on a particular job role.3.Learn and do a programming language.4do as much as programming as u can by the end of MCA u will be a gem ,Happy coding

All most all of the foreign unis prefer a 4 year degree curriculam for MS. So Bsc/Bca cant apply for it. However Boston University is one of the few exceptions.

People who did maths honours, statistics honours In BSC from good universities, they can really be at an advantageous position doing MCA. But those were the cases few decades ago. Now it takes just 13 lakhs to get Computer science engineering btech from any shit private unknown college. No one has time to spend 6 years after +2. Even if one scores 764698000000 rank in JEE, she/he can still become CSE btech.

IGNOU launched online MCA in January 2022. Even after 2 semesters, there have been no exams or practicals so far. Every 6 months, they just ask to pay fee for next semester, and then ghost you. There were no doubt clearing sessions in 2nd semester. Even in the first semester, the sessions were extremely poor. LMS portal is third class and is usually not updated with study material, recorded lectures, assignments, etc. IGNOU authorities hardly reply to email queries. Better choose other alternatives if you're serious about your career. If you still want to pursue MCA from IGNOU, choose ODL rather than online mode. Considering the mismanagement and delays at IGNOU, you won't be able to complete your degree on time anyways.

Bro i also have 3 yrs career gap joined in BCA this yr just go for it ,BBA have no job opportunities many of my friends roaming on roads doing BBA and u are not eligible to write CAT exam( MBA entrance) because of age gap . atleast in BCA and MCA u have future

@@08647225414 In 2019 -( Feb . Session ) bihar minorities scholarship under scheme I was qualified with rank 28 . But circumstances was against me that why I quit ( PGDAC) from C-DAC . Now , I think go for PGDAC / Post graduate diploma in Artificial intelligence from CDAC which one is best me .

@@ayushjhawar9741 I took admission in a State govt College. If you can efford then you can choose other private colleges,also they can provide you a good placement. If you score a good rank and get higher ranked Govt colleges ,then it's okay to admit there.

Look , if you scores good rank in cet then get admission in top ranked govt Colleges ,they will provide you placement assistance. If not securing good rank then try in private ones .

POINTS- 1) After 10+2 , 90% students take a year for joint entrance examination , and they got 4 yrs b tech ... So that BCA + MCA = 5 Yrs , what's the problem ??? 2) B tech is bachelor degree , MCA is masters , you can join phd after MCA. 3) BCA + MCA Obviously provides more knowledge to student about computer application and programming in commercial field than Btech students but B Tech gets more hardcore technical knowledge on computer basic science and fundamentals ... So all organization commercial dept. gets more benefits from BCA+MCA , to get a commercial work like programming , data analysis etc. 4) Now all gvt. job asking for their post for B Tech / BCA / MCA / CS Degree etc. Microsoft , google , amazon etc.also 5) Many job less B tech ( CS ) degree holders also , available in market ... Yes its okay that only BCA is a week status to get good job .. adding MCA is must ..and this is true .
