I think it is safe to say there is good reason to be hyped for Dark Souls 3. I am actually very excited to hear the soundtrack, I know Yuka Kitamura will be working more this time which I think is great because I love her work and possibly even Tsukasa Saitoh as well (Would love to hear some stuff by Nobuyoshi Suzuki). Bloodborne had a fantastic soundtrack, honestly I hope as well as the gameplay that at least some of that feel of the soundtrack carries on too.
This is an original song I wrote inspired by Dark Souls 3, It has a little bit of Bloodborne flavour to it as well (so so excited for The Old Hunters!). I wanted to make it my own a bit as well but I mostly took inspiration from fights like Ornstein and Smough and Sir Alonne. I really love that grand scale and how memorable those fights/songs were. Yuka Kitamura has heard it and really liked it which is so awesome. And the short story was basically no because of contracts and Namco Bandai...business stuff. Maybe I could get a shoe in on Dark Souls 4 haha but I doubt it.

They are not famous for treating their employees well after all, and they dont seem to understand the west that much. Just look at what Nintendo did to let's players. +M.A.DMatt6 Thanks Matt! The Old Hunters looks like it's definitely going to fill a content gap that I think will really complete Bloodborne. I have no expectations story wise but I'm hoping for more NPC interaction and unique quests, it's an intriguing world and I want to get to know its people. Some reporters at TGS suggested what they played was too familiar but a statement has been made that there will be more variety and nothing is set just yet. There were ideas floating that we may even get to re-experience parts of the base game differently -- I'm up for that. I do hope this DLC is more like Artorias of the Abyss than Dark Souls 2's DLC. I'm very excited for it.

Yeah, it looks wicked awesome and there are some part that look like changes from the base game. Like the leaches in the flower field and the fire cleric beast. Of course there are those awesome weapons they have as well. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if they add a bonus content that give you a different ending. Like they did with the DS2 Scholar of the First Sin. Shame we got to wait two moths for it lol.

The violin is perfect in this theme. It brings out that sad, grey tone the Souls series has, but also sounds very mysterious and beautiful, much like many locales in the games have been. This song made me think of a Boss fight idea, what if eventually you came across an alternate version of your self, with your gear and your abilities but the version that chooses the alternate path to you, so like if you choose the lord of darkness ending you'd be fighting a version for you that is choosing to restore the flame and thus using Flame attacks and such and if you choose to relink the flame you'd be fighting yourself but using the abyss instead. And like how it chooses gear is that it cherry picks the best gear in your equipment/inventory and builds it's appearance from that.

This was actually almost a thing in Dark Souls 1, though it didn't make the cut into the game's final storyline. Delving into the game files reveals unused content and dialogue showing that Oscar of Astora (the knight who gives you the estus flask at the start of the game) was originally planned not to die there, but accompany you to Lordran, attempting to become the chosen undead himself. If you chose to side with Frampt and link the flame after defeating Gwyn at the end of the game, he'd interrupt and challenge you, having decided to side with Kaathe and become the Dark Lord. If you instead chose to let the flame die out and become Dark Lord yourself, he'd side with Frampt and try to kill you so as to link the flame himself and become the true "chosen unded".

Due to the name of the song, I could totally imagine this boss fight being the last Ashen One who attempted to relight the flame and failed. In his failure, wracked with frustration, he can't allow anyone to outdo him; He wants to stay the broken martyr, rather than be remembered as second place.

I too lost interest in pvp, I usually need assisstance with some bosses and just for fun, but there are some people who just do it to the extreme. I beat a guy and I never such a huge death threat before, that's when I just let it be. Now I will try to beat the game solo, with no help whatsoever. All of them. I like your souls-like contents. Although it is obvious you have your own unique style of making music. Dark Souls OSTs are usually much more darker, mystical (because of vocals) and makes people shiver, also they have more gaps in the music while you add background instruments to fill the gaps all the time. Yours are unique in their own way and they are nice, still; I would prefer original soundtracks over most of your tracks because of the reasons I have explained above. Yours gives hope while originals literally makes you feel your very soul is leaving your body.
