What I like about Nameless king is that he's one of the human bosses that didn't rely on flashly twenty hit attack. Instead he bait your roll by linger his winding and hight damage but well telegraph attacks. Properly one of the best boss to learn and get into the rhythm. If you're new to the game, DON'T USE SHIELD. Also prepare to slam your dodge botton, literally. Your dodge come off when you release it, the slam make your input connect faster lol

I finally finished DS3 (my first souls game). I bought it last November, tried it and can't even pass Lothric Knights in high wall tower. I was getting frustrated, stopped for 3 months, and somehow regret buying the game. Then I finally decided to give it another try, and after 60 hrs I did finish the game. I'm satisfied. Prince lothric was the hardest boss for me.

Both the twin Princes and Soul of Cinder i beat on my first try but Nameless king took me a good 90 minutes of pure focus and three or four dozen tries. First three to five times he just erased me without any difficulty once i got to the second phase

Opposite here aswell. 2 tried on Pontiff. Parried Pontiff on his opening jump, ran to the other side of the room, parried the other jump. Once he transformed I ran to the other room, dodged the clone jump and parried his real jump. Having trouble here with Nameless.

Ehhh not really. Elden ring relies on the gimmick of delayed attacks while the rest are more upfront. I played Elden Ring first before ds3 and lotheric castle knights are definitely harder than stormveil knights. Once you learn how to deal with them tho Stormveil Knights are more annoying since their wind counts as a strike.

After coming back to dark souls 3 post 300 hours in elden ring. Elden ring is both the easiest and hardest game in the series. Mechanically speaking, the bosses it throws at you are far more punishing and in depth than previous bosses in the series. but Elden ring also gives you way more tools to combat these bosses, dragging down its difficulty drastically.

I like the idea that Ornstein found his inspiration and the war god blessed him by making him his mount, a storm drake. You find Ornstein’s armor on Archdragon Peak so it’s not a stretch

That doesn't make sense at all... Ornstein followed the Nameless king and might have become a dragon through a ritual. Nameless king's mount isn't actually a dragon. Or atleast not a fromsoftware dragon... It's stated that his mount descends from eastern lands aswell where this type of 'dragons' would be a species.

The best boss fight of all of time in my opinion. He was foreshadowed and hyped up since Dark Souls 1. The Firstborn of the most powerful being in the Dark Souls world. Betrayed his own, and forgotten by History. When you finally face him three games later, he is as Powerful and epic as he was foreshadowed to be since the very beginning.

Man, am I glad that I went "backwards" within the Soulsborne franchise (started with BB, then Elden Ring, Sekiro and the DS trilogy), because by the time I played this game, I had actually become "gud" enough to beat most bosses within 2 tries. THIS guy, however, still took me 7 tries, but I'm sure that it would've been way more if I wasn't such a Soulsborne veteran by now. The thing I like about Dark Souls 3 is that they designed the first boss, Gundyr, to look like the final boss of most other games, and then somehow they manage to keep going up from there with each successive boss encounter, until they eventually reached _this:_ a literal god of war, exiled and erased from history (as Pat describes it), who rides a feathered serpent-dragon type creature into battle in an arena that’s in the sky, and is referred to by one of the most badass names ever, “King of the Storm”.

Most bosses (not bed’o’chaos or ancient dragon) had a lot of thought out into them to make them more fair Elden Ring on the other hand while still that sometimes, it’s late game will try to kill you at all costs, the cost being 2 or 1 hits even with 60 vigour

That's because even the strongest bosses in these games had weaknesses. Not every boss needed 9 hit comboes, AoE spam, insane attack delays, infinite poise, minimal recovery times, and input reading estus punishes. Many of them didn't need to one or two shot you with every move like every late game elden ring boss. When you look at this guy or orphan or champion gundyr you can see challenging bosses that were designed with finesse rather than throwing every strength onto a boss with none of the weaknesses and calling it "challenging".

I don't remember facing any bosses in DS3 other than Midir that could do as much damage in a single attack as most of the elden ring bosses do, and Midir was excusable since he took 15 years to telegraph his laser anyway. Alot of the ER bosses feel like "what if we made him do 1200 DAMAGE IN ONE HIT LOL", makes me think of Nioh more than souls.

​@@dumpsta-divrr365I actually find very different. Elden Ring is where the bosses were challenging, the previous bosses were too easy, some of them were even boring. Dragonslayer Armour has one of the easiest movesets in the entire series, and has a very small health pool for a late-game boss. 90% of Nameless King's difficulty is the camera, not the boss himself. Midir's entire moveset can be dealt with by just running, his large hp and insane damage are the only things that make him a hard boss. This will always be the baddest mfer in all of from’s games. Not the broken husk of a god or some gimmicky 20 hit undodgeable bs. He rides a dragon, lightning, storms and that lightning stomp has to be one of the hardest boss moves I’ve ever seen. Gwyn wishes he was this dude.
