You may be being sarcastic but invasions HIGHLY favor reds. Even 2 v 1 they favor reds. Full estus when you invade, full PVP gear, usually lower leveled people because you can have the area they are in cleared out and have gotten stuff from the next area. Usually someone better at PVP. Only have to actually kill one guy. I've seen FAR more hosts die than phantoms when engaged in jolly cooperation. FAR more. Like, it's not even close.

@@applesapple5592 No, reds often have more estus than the host. They have the advantage of having grabbed every estus in the game. Plus the boost to estus recovery per chug means that they often have as much health in the jar as a host would if they had all their estus. Plus, hosts often have used several chugs of estus by the time someone invades. I've seen plenty of hosts killed without their phantoms being touched. All it takes is one parry to kill most hosts. Even if you have high level friends with you, their damage is nerfed to that of your own. Plus reds have access to better weapons and other PVP gear. By definition the person you invade cannot have gear from the next area but you can have gear from ANY area. Plus your character is specced to fight people, not mobs, making it even easier. No, invaders have a HUGE advantage when invading that most hosts will not have.

@@applesapple5592 As I originally stated, invaders have the advantage when the host has only one other friend. I never even implied they have an advantage over gank squads. Don't know why you keep bringing it up. "Trading blows" with the invader is a TERRIBLE way to engage them. Have you never played this game before? The phantom will die, and the host will be alone! I said invaders have the advantage, but that does not mean they have to take advantage of their advantage. Obviously you can give yourself disadvantages when invading (another advantage you hold is that you decide how you invade!). I'm not talking about casual Joe invader that discovered a cracked rock and decided to see what it does. Most invaders are not casual, while most people playing the game are. The reason that over-leveled friends may deal more damage is because they are equipping end-game gear that the invaders also have access to. I've been the over-leveled friend and the host with the exact same invader and I can assure you that being over-leveled is barely an advantage. The biggest advantage there is more chugs. Resummoning is absolutely no advantage at all. It almost never happens. The host can summon other phantoms that were not yet summoned, but if there were such marks to summon on the ground to begin with, they likely would have summoned them earlier, making it a more than 2 vs 1, which I did not comment on originally. My experience comes from co-opping with random hosts. Thus I have a fairly large degree of experience to call from. Yours comes from being an invader, apparently. If you find yourself dying a lot, perhaps you need to get good? Because hosts very often die and I cannot even do anything at all to stop it due to the shitty game mechanics. Also, I get solo invaded all the time. Though they are more common if you have a friend, yes.

Drn Montemayor its harder to 1 vs 4 than 1v1 in any case, doesnt matter how good you are if just do 1 mistake, and you are gonna be forced it to it sonner or later youre almost surely killed vs 4. I love watching you spank ganks. The invasion system is broken af. If you invade a host with one summon, they can just switch over to way of blue and get two blues to help too, but you can't get another red because blues don't count as summon slots, so you're stuck with a 4v1 that's likely just sitting at a bonfire waiting for you.

You got a few things wrong man. - You can't be "stuck" in a 4v1, if there's 4 enemies, a finger is active, so you get another invader slot. Personally, it's 3v1 that really scare me, because I know there's no backup coming, ever. - As an invader, you're supposed to know how to pvp, while Blues are mostly pve players who get summoned in the middle of their pve experience: they're bad at pvp and using the wrong set up. Unless it's in a 3v1 or 4v1 situation, they're really nothing more than estus pinatas. Of course there are also good blues, but you need to be unlucky to get those. As for bonfire camping, you can do things about it. My way to deal with that is obscuring ring+greatbow. Remember, if you're invading, you're choosing the battlefield and the tools, so as long as you get out of the old DS1 invading mindset ("I'm a monster who's going to slaughter everyone") and plan ahead, it's not as hard as you think.

I usually play fingered with my friend and invaders flow left and right most of the time its a 2v3 or if we have way of blue a 3v3, its actually quite rare unless you plan to gank that you endup vastly outnumbering the invaders like here

Giulio Mauri Maybe I'm just unlucky enough that I keep getting two blues when I'm the only invader, because it happens often, especially at higher levels. The host usually only has one other summon and no other reds will show up no matter how much time it takes. I once killed about five blues in a world once, and never had any backup the whole time.

Bulls###, on my first ever run through the game I would be alone but get invaded by like 3 people with late game gear that i had no possible chance of beating. But when i started invading I found myself at a 1v5 with no help

Were you at meta level? SL125 is completely dead outside of Gank City (and Ringed City Streets), because no one has any incentive to run through NG+ cycles considering the best rings are in the DLC. So if you're invading other areas it might be that you were the only red there. Or maybe you're just very unlucky : )
